Thank you. After viewing a couple other videos where folks spoke forever and never really addressed the issue I had, this video got straight to the point and helped me solve my problem. Great stuff.
Thanks for explaining the various styles of hidden deadbolt screws. I have a double deadbolt with the 2 screw holes covered up by sheet metal behind the outside cover. I can see where the screws should be because of the outside holes are visible but blocked just inside of them.
Install an electronic lock for the tenant that supports a master code and user codes. You don't give the tenant the master code, you give them user codes. They'll never be locked out, you'll never be locked out. Here's one that's very affordable: acme-safes-for-sale.com/teeho-biometric-deadbolt.html
Didn't work for me! My Kwiksets have a metal tab in that slot on the edge of the rose. Not an empty slot to pry off. I push and nothing budges. These are 7 years old but if they're coming off for a new latch you should cover more than the current stock of locks don't you think?

Thank you! I had the Schlage that had no visible screws. I needed to pick the keyhole to remove the disc shaped cover from the tumbler.
