Sorry I'm late but allow me to enlighten you : With that huge of a plane and that mass, loosing nearly all its engine power will cause a stall and limits maneuverability. If it's near impossible to pilot a 4 engineed bomber with one engine functional, then it's definitely impossible to control the gleipnir in such conditions.

Discharged Recruit sells his PSP to me, I buy ACX right the next day. Probably the one of the best decisions Ive ever made. By the end of the tour, I had beaten all missions at ACE with S, even 7C. Dear god, 7C was a punishment for all my sins...
Man, playing this so many times makes me wish Bandai-Namco would do a remake of this game for PS4, Switch, PC and the likes. Imagine fighting the Gleipnir in all its HD glory.
It's strange just how... _jarring_ how different in tone 7B is to 7A. 7A? The Gleipnir is damaged, the captain acts like an idiot, and the music is almost goofy as you shoot him down. 7B? You've got that fucking Midnight Sun theme playing, and the captain instead acts downright depraved, wanting to practically nuke a city full of civilians just to get one in at Aurelia before he dies. Fucking hell.
Suppose it tells your how disheartening the crippling of the Gleipnir was in Midnight Sun. Whereas with an intact Gleipnir, Leasath feels nigh invincible and prepared to take the battle to its direst consequences, without the missiles, depression and desperation take over.

That being said, I'm not sure if the Arsenal Birds can actually shoot the Gleipnir down. It does also have its own long-range high-explosive airburst missiles in the form of Helios, but as for how it would detect the Gleipnir before it enters it's SWBM launch range, well, yeah.
What I like about this certain boss is that you have a mission to where you'll force it to flip itself to use the shock cannon on you. which is funny xD
XB-0 Hresvelgr is a piece of cake compared to the Gleipnir. i just wish AC:X wasn't underrated (yeah it was on the PSP but you can play it on the Vita or emulators)
