PETIRROJO EUROPEO European Robin (Erithacus rubecula) 4K

El petirrojo europeo es uno de los pájaros más populares y fácilmente reconocibles, al que se distingue por su llamativa mancha anaranjada en el pecho, la garganta y la cara. Está distribuido por toda Europa, principalmente en la región meridional y occidental del continente, donde habita todo el año, y es migrante parcial en el norte de Europa y noroeste de África. Es un ave diurna, aunque ocasionalmente caza insectos en las noches de luna, o cerca de luz artificial.​ Se alimenta principalmente de invertebrados terrestres, como arañas, lombrices e insectos. En otoño e invierno, complementa su dieta habitual de invertebrados con bayas y frutas,​ también come semillas.
The European robin is one of the most popular and easily recognizable birds, distinguished by its striking orange patch on its chest, throat and face. It is distributed throughout Europe, mainly in the southern and western region of the continent, where it lives all year round, and is a partial migrant in northern Europe and northwestern Africa. It is a diurnal bird, although it occasionally hunts for insects on moonlit nights, or near artificial light. It feeds mainly on terrestrial invertebrates, such as spiders, earthworms, and insects. In autumn and winter, it supplements its usual diet of invertebrates with berries and fruits, it also eats seeds.
