I do believe in second chances but sadly not in this case. First of all, I never got the feeling like Sam really regretted his cheating, not on a deep level at least and let’s not forget that in wasn’t one mistake. The one mistake maybe was the kiss, but then later he sought Stud out by himself. I don’t think the second time he was with him can be considered a „mistake“. He knew what happened between them and still invited him out to drinks. Sam knew what it could lead to and still met with Stud, he knew that there was a good chance of them ending up in bed together and still met him. That’s not a mistake, that’s a conscious decision.
Maybe Am just doesn't want that Bern wants only to be with her again just because he felt the need to take responsibility. Remember when they attended a wedding? There was a convo about getting married because the girl might be pregnant and I'm quite sure Am doesn't want that. Even I wouldn't want that

i think Am will be making a good decision not to get back with Bern. Yes, it might be a broken family, but you don't have to put up with a toxic marriage. They might be married, but there will be no love at all, and it will still be a problem to the child afterwards.
