This video is one I really liked as it was an older home and the new steps and walk really adds sparkle to the whole neighborhood there. Don't you know how she will now enjoy her walk down the walk to retrieve the mail. With all the negativity spilling over onto TH-cam, it is such a blessing to have people like you still providing good content. I loved the way y'all saved the brick sides to her steps. The borders on the new house were unique and very nice. As always just beautiful. Another great video that gave me/us very nice smiles today, sure do thank you and the crew. Thanks!👍👌❤🇺🇸🇺🇸
Awe ~ I wanted to see you all enjoying those donuts! That was so nice of that homeowner to buy you guys a couple dozen donuts! You guys are awesome; I love your channel, Tom!
The steps and sidewalk job was a great transformation from old to new. And the customer was very grateful for a job well done. The finishing of the big job was nice with the exposed aggregate and a different boarder. There's something unique about every job. Stay safe.
The first customer was so kind and thoughtful to bring y’all donuts and brew fresh coffee! I love people like that who have a generous heart! ❤️ I was hoping the concrete might help support and strengthen the old brick front steps wing walls.
I have been watching your videos since the Morgans gave you a shout out on their channel. The way you pay attention to detail and take pride in your work is truly refreshing. True Craftsmanship is really hard to find in this day and time where everything is done as fast and cheap as possible.
amazing donets and coffee we planted 300 plants on a hill side never got a glass of water in 90 % degree weather took us all day and all i got was a ck LOL but i like U enjoy what I do nfor people keep up the fantastic work you and your guys do
Looks like the concrete mix is very good. Another of concrete plants use fillers nowadays, so when you get some that do not the difference is seen in the shoot. It also makes finishing a ton easier. The care your crew takes to control quality and create a little mess as possible sets you above the competition. Good work sir 👏
Another fine job by Tom and the crew those old steps and sidewalk turned out excellent and you didn't even put the donut break on video lol great job as always 👍
Didn’t catch the logo on your hat, but that’s an interesting shade of green for a Monday after a Steelers shellacking by the Eagles. Probably just coincidence. Thank you for the great videos.
Hey, are you going to take care of Melissa and Mike down south? They could really use your experience and expertise on their new project. Sure would be a nice thing to do. I really like what you did for them at their new building. Looks great! Thanks, J.R.
Nice to see you using fiberglass... I would like to see those 1/2" tooled joints with perhaps a follow up of another 1/2" deep saw cut... It leaves the same surface tool joint but more of a structural control joint and even a full cut with backer rod and urethane caulking is more ideal. 6*6 wire mesh please and rebar is not appropriate for these soil conditions or load conditions... But, wire and even it is on the bottom, I'm ok with that... Hint... If, tool joints create a control joint.. what would rebar do... I am NOT talking about your rebar for the borders but tip, put that rebar high and NOT low. I'm busy and I promised you a video reply but take this as a reply until I do that video reply. I always enjoy your exposed concrete... Hope u stay a good sport. Wait, are you using a go pro? I need to upgrade and 27:12 that border looks like it should have come up short or perhaps the small radius should have not been exposed?
I'm amazed when I see you guys hammer those form stakes full force while holding them with your hand. If I did that, I'd probably miss and break my hand within the first 10 swings of the hammer.
Always start my day with " Concrete With The Hausas" and coffee. Almost time for your review on dealing with snow and ice on concrete. What's the story on Morgan's concrete in Virginia?
At 2:45 you were highlighting the angled forms from the first step that were being hammered into the ground. You mentioned it was to prevent the forms from warping. How does that work? Can that be explained? I need to come to a concrete forms class...
I've had customers of all walks of life some worth nothing some worth multi-millions of dollars and I can tell you right now it doesn't matter some are kind and they'll bring you stuff and some won't even let you use the bathroom.
Question... in California we used concrete pumpers for anything like that but since I moved to Tennessee (and here watching your video) I rarely if ever seen pumpers being used, always a chute to a Georgia buggy, or Bobcat etc... or wheelbarrow like here. Is it because pump mix is too wet? Great work and great videos by the way!
At around the 27:15 mark I noticed a lot of extra stone from the base spilled out. I know this is fairly normal, but do you guys take that away with you or is that left for the owner?
Hello from Chicago! I noticed the rebar underneath the stairs were pinned down to ground level by the wood bracing for the stairs. How do you raise that when pouring so the rebar is near the middle of the concrete? Thanks and another great video!
Is anyone else fearful that one day some member of the team is going to drop the drill, trowels or other tools when being tossed over the finished concrete? Nice catch Tom !
Hey Jim, I could use your help please. I just put a textured roller patio down and need to color it. I’ll wash the release off tomorrow before coloring. My question is, I’m mixing Bontique stone grey with jet black. I just want some black highlights in the texture. Can I use 2 parts grey to 1 part black together in the sprayer? Also, how long can I wait to color? Bontool hasn’t shipped the black yet. It’s on order though. Thank you so much.
@@Concretewiththehauses ok. Thank you. I’ll go ahead and put the grey on tomorrow. Like I said, I don’t have the black yet. What’s the longest I can wait to apply the black? Is there any other brand I can use instead that will mix with water?
Tom another great video I have a question for You when You ( wet stab ) have You ever had problems with water getting down through it and then freezing and raising the concrete You and the Crew have a good day and I heard that You are going to West Virginia 👍🙏🇺🇸🦅
Great video and impressive border. Have you ever fallen foul of boundary dispute, council bylaws or building restrictions especially in relation to the pavement (sidewalk) jobs? Cheers from the UK 🇬🇧🍻
I noticed lately the crew using plastic splash protection when using buggies. What happened to your homemade splash guards? They seemed to work awesome in past videos. BTW, keep up the awesome content. Great crew, sign of great leadership/owner.
just because i dont like and subscribe doesnt mean im not enjoying your vids. the reason i dont thumb up vids or subscribe is because of the youtube algorythm

It will that’s why we decide to wait on tearing them down

Awesome job boys.👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
I'm amazed when I see you guys hammer those form stakes full force while holding them with your hand. If I did that, I'd probably miss and break my hand within the first 10 swings of the hammer.
You only do that once or twice and you get good real fast

Landscapers will take care of that

They are tied to pins up off the ground

I hope I have the camera rolling when it happens
Beautiful ❤
How much would it cost to do the work this way?
I love well done concrete job.. A concrete guy told me two truths about concrete
Guarantee to crack and no one will steal it
That’s really the only guarantees that we have also

oh no, somebody got yelled at for tossing concrete on the Camera!!
I'd work for FREE if a customer brought me coffee and Big Delicious Donuts ! :)
usually there is a bow and a crown on the wood so how do you fix that so that it doesnt translate into the concrete?
Great video and impressive border. Have you ever fallen foul of boundary dispute, council bylaws or building restrictions especially in relation to the pavement (sidewalk) jobs? Cheers from the UK 🇬🇧🍻
I poured a driveway over the property line one time needed ripped out
I noticed lately the crew using plastic splash protection when using buggies. What happened to your homemade splash guards? They seemed to work awesome in past videos. BTW, keep up the awesome content. Great crew, sign of great leadership/owner.
I got a new power buggy and did not make a splash guard yet
Just wondering why you use chloride vs non chlorinated accelerator when you have steel in your project. Hmmm
Nice!
Thanks
There’s your Caurfee!☕️

Thanks
Everybody needs a donut break
You don’t have to wait 28 days to seal the exposed ??
Absolutely not we typically do it three days after we pour
How many donuts does it take to get a crew to produce quality work?
1 each haha back to work
nice
Tom do you have a shortage in Pennsylvania

Okay I'll say it. At least Paul pelosi didn't almost kill someone when he got hammered this time
