I am a senior citizen and punjabi and have travelled to most of the places in India. I am yet to meet a Hindu who doesn't place the Sikh Gurus at the highest pedestal of his faith, and worship. As have long back been ruled by even Supreme Court, Hindu is not a religion but one of the oldest civilisations on earth, spread from Mayanmar in the east to Afghanistan in the west and from Tibet in the north to Srilanka in the south (our Gurus travelled even beyond these boundries) . Baba Nanak said there is one God and present in every thing in this universe. A true Hindu prostrate at every place of worship regardless of religion because Hindu itself is not a religion. Many Hindus like me believe in formless one God as taught by Guru Nanak while most worship numerous forms of the same God.(though I personally don't subscribe to), like Sun, moon, earth, water, river, fire, tree or may be an animal, all have been made by the same God. Dhanna Jatt found God in a stone. As far as practices are concerned I see many Sikhs following the practices, Guru Nanak condemned the most. Caste system is one of them. No one is devoid of shortcoming and Hindus have theirs. But to discriminate on the base of religion man has yet to overcome. Satsriakal.

I was a student in the adjacent university and when I was a student we used to go to the Gurdwara. I remember in those days it was a place of peace and amity. I specifically remember there was a cat and a dog living in amity.

I went there few years back. Non-bengali Hindus mainly whose forefathers migrated here in Bangladesh from UP, Bihar, Gujrat and Punjab maintain this site. Beautiful place, symbol of religious harmony. ❤️

Guruduara Nanak Shahi is at my University 😊 I used to pay occasional visits there on Friday. But they didn't allow me to enter inside without covering my head😃. Shikhs were very polite people, always insisted me to eat their special food prepared by them. I spoke to them in English but they told me to speak in Bengali cause it was closer to Urdu. Now I live far from my University campus. Thanks for uploading this video. Feeling nostalgic. Best wishes from Bangladesh for this channel.
