To the those who argue that he is faultless, here’s some perspective. The protagonist, while not a cheater, was by his own admission a selfish, entitled, manipulative, egotistical, ghosting liar when he was younger, someone for whom “consequences didn’t matter,” who reveled in his friends’ laughing approval and dismissed their mocking of Kevin, who was clearly vulnerable and wounded by the rejection. He didn’t owe Kevin a relationship or even a date, but he was obligated to be an adult and treat him with some respect and not just as a plaything. Kevin has every right to feel whatever he feels for however long he feels it, a truth underscored by the protagonist not bothering to be forthcoming when he was disinterested, screwing him (over), not remembering hurting him, not remembering him at all, and then having the nerve to ask, “Why did you not tell me?” As though it is anyone else’s responsibility to inform him of his own sexual history. Kevin didn’t shame him for being a slut; he shamed him for being an awful person. Because he was. Which he acknowledges in his repeated apologies. And then Kevin still found the magnanimity to comfort him, care for him, and allow him a second chance.
How is he a "liar and a cheater" despite not doing either of those things? Sure, he could've been more direct with Kevin and said that he's not looking for a relationship, but he avoided leading him on AND said no to him when asked to take things further. The part where he talks about his friends laughing at Kevin's rejection wasn't his fault either, he just surrounded himself with bad people and he shouldn't be held accountable for other people's actions. Our main character did slept around, but was also was never in a relationship while he did it. So, Kevin was blatantly slutshaming him by calling him a cheater. Honestly, this story feels like it's on some virtue signaling bs. There's nothing wrong with being young and bad at communicating. Kevin isn't the victim he thinks he is tbh, and the fact that he held this grudge for so long is really immature of him.
Would you give someone who broke your heart a second chance?

There's no such thing as a bad drink. Only drugged drinks.
Was probably the guy who came onto the protagonist earlier that night...
That casket.

the boys appearance always changes.. one pic he has earrings, next he doesn't, blonde hair then it's brown. Blue eyes turn to green eyes.
