Our vagabond 42 has a solid Taiwanese hull. We were T-boned by a 48 foot Greenliner moving about 5 knots while we were anchored out. It broke our cap rail and separated our hull deck joint. The hit would have easily sank the Beneteau we used to own. Love my 40 year old piece of junk ;)
@melinda5777 thank you for the comment. We plan on a very detailed history n survey. Got a captain that we hired for our ASA training been sailing 30 years. He's gonna help us.
Its a free world in the US when it comes to Maritime, here in New Zealand, a NZ flagged vessel cannot leave offshore without seeking approval from Maritime NZ, this certificate is required and given once an official comes to see your boat and is "satisfied" that it meets all specs and regs to sail offshore, I sold my Sabre now looking at either AU or the US for my next boat and bring it down!

I unfortunately missed to last few live streams. But watched them after. I’m curious what your thoughts are on the Sceptre 41 or 43?
What about Cat boats, (one hull, free standing mast)?
