Don’t quote me on this because my memory is awful, but I watched Shane Dawson when he first started posting videos on TH-cam (2008) and didn’t stop watching until maybe 2018/2020 (yes I am ashamed honestly). He had his main channel (ShaneDawsonTV, skits), his second channel (ShaneDawsonTV2, skit outtakes/BTS) and his vlog channel (shane). Since 2008, I’m pretty sure he’s mentioned he’s had an eating disorder in the past. I’d say I’m 100% sure because that’s just knowledge I have in my brain but again, my memory is so awful these days so it might NOT be true. But I swear I remember hearing that multiple times coming straight from his own mouth.
For me, when I'm eating something like one of those cookies, I'm more aware of the calories than when eating fast food. Because, unhealthy choice aside, the fast food counts as a meal. While the cookie is extra. A half liter bottle of soda is two servings. Messed up? Sure. But it's listed on the bottle. So it's my bad if I do not get that.

In secondary school (high school) people talked about how one Krispy Kreme donut was the same as a bunch of Big Macs, this isn’t news. Your body digests sugar differently to protein. Also, Shane used to have an eating disorder, and as someone that had issues with food in my teens, we all knew about the calories in sweets vs savoury to keep weight down, so how is this new to him?

If you've got a group of friends who also like sweets and live nearby, it can be really thoughtful to share, though. 9 times of 10, if i see a candy i crave, i'll get a pack of it and visit a friend so at least 3 people are going through the pack at once. I was recently gifted kettle corn from someone who worked at a stand for it and had leftovers and the bag was like the size of my head (bigger, probably), and i don't like popcorn that well so i summoned a few friends and we had an at-home movie night with the kettle corn as our popcorn, which meant that i got through the product quickly before it could go stale and got to make others happy because it was a chance to hang out and free food.
As a non American I've only had an In N Out meal once (on a trip to California) and i gotta say it was one of the most vile food I've tried. Cardboard probably tastes better than those fries. We couldn't do more than a few because they were inedible.

Don’t quote me on this because my memory is awful, but I watched Shane Dawson when he first started posting videos on TH-cam (2008) and didn’t stop watching until maybe 2018/2020 (yes I am ashamed honestly). He had his main channel (ShaneDawsonTV, skits), his second channel (ShaneDawsonTV2, skit outtakes/BTS) and his vlog channel (shane). Since 2008, I’m pretty sure he’s mentioned he’s had an eating disorder in the past. I’d say I’m 100% sure because that’s just knowledge I have in my brain but again, my memory is so awful these days so it might NOT be true. But I swear I remember hearing that multiple times coming straight from his own mouth.

For me, when I'm eating something like one of those cookies, I'm more aware of the calories than when eating fast food. Because, unhealthy choice aside, the fast food counts as a meal. While the cookie is extra.

It’s crazy to me how so many TH-camrs have their careers blow up over ultimately small things and somehow Shane has managed to sweep every insane piece of drama under the rug and convince everyone he has done no wrong.

For someone who is always so focused on his weight this screams someone who’s never done calorie counting. Guess I’m blessed with the trauma of being 10 and learning a serving of pop tarts is one pastry even though they come two in a package.

In secondary school (high school) people talked about how one Krispy Kreme donut was the same as a bunch of Big Macs, this isn’t news. Your body digests sugar differently to protein. Also, Shane used to have an eating disorder, and as someone that had issues with food in my teens, we all knew about the calories in sweets vs savoury to keep weight down, so how is this new to him?

We learned about nutrition labels and the serving size *within* the nutrition label in freshman health class (I was 15 when we learned about nutritional label literacy).
I can’t do a lot of desserts and rich candies because they are too rich! Crumbl cookies especially because they have all these specialty flavors, are toooo much for me. Like one bite is more than enough. My family would get me a box or even have me a gift card once and I was like ….. thanks ….
If you've got a group of friends who also like sweets and live nearby, it can be really thoughtful to share, though. 9 times of 10, if i see a candy i crave, i'll get a pack of it and visit a friend so at least 3 people are going through the pack at once. I was recently gifted kettle corn from someone who worked at a stand for it and had leftovers and the bag was like the size of my head (bigger, probably), and i don't like popcorn that well so i summoned a few friends and we had an at-home movie night with the kettle corn as our popcorn, which meant that i got through the product quickly before it could go stale and got to make others happy because it was a chance to hang out and free food.
As a non American I've only had an In N Out meal once (on a trip to California) and i gotta say it was one of the most vile food I've tried. Cardboard probably tastes better than those fries. We couldn't do more than a few because they were inedible.

What I find most exhausting about Shane’s modern “content” is the gales of forced laughter over every goddamned thing anyone says, whether actually funny (hypothetical) or could-be-slightly-amusing-if-drunk (standard).

I'm kind of amazed by how often people don't realize that such a large dessert isn't a single serving. I used to go to a cupcake shop and for a buck fifty I got a massive cupcake that could easily feed three people. (The owner was competing with the local ice cream chain where a single scoop was $1.97.) I would hork em down like nothin' cuz I'm a fat guy, but I knee I wasn't meant to eat the whole thing as once. Just like the Ben and jerries pints. Those are four servings as well. Like, Just because it's a personal sized treat doesn't mean it's an "all at once" treat.

Once again I am baffled in european. Every packaged food here usually has both serving size info and info about the food per 100g. So it's basically impossible to be confused by it. It does seem a lot of calories for one cookie but i believe u when u say u know it when u eat it lol
