@Ghostbusters News: A big thank you for covering this episode! This is one of my all time favorites, I had a VHS recording of it for years prior to getting the DVD box set from Time Life. It is always fun to revisit this episode each year at Christmas time. Cannot wait to share it with my nephews and niece at some point. For Christmas 1986, I got the Kenner Ecto 1 as one of my presents and I recall playing with it nearly all day.
Not going to mention how Egon apparently runs from the Firehouse in Manhattan all the way to that ridge in upstate New York since the Ecto is already on-site? Also how is that faster than the ghosts flying there?
Egon probably borrowed Janine's car and accidentally left it there. The next time they actually borrow the car, Janine wanred them about what happened "last time". Well, here you go. :)
I had this episode on VHS myself and I watched it every year on Christmas until I accidently taped over it. Thankfully, I was able to watch it online prior to the DVD box set from Time Life getting released. It is really fun getting to revisit this episode each year at Christmas time. Ironically, for Christmas 1986 I got the Kenner Ecto 1 as one of my presents.
I remember watching this episode! Loved it but i always thought it was weird that they where transported to a fictional tale lol but its ghostbusters so who cares haha.
Considering the Is Ghostbusters 2 a "Christmas movie"?, there are many, many scenes throughout the movie where if you watch closely, many buildings and places are decorated for Christmas. There are various lights and decorations which I don't think the writers and director intentionally meant to appear in the film.
What I never understood about this episode is that they treat Ebenezer Scrooge as if he were a person of history. Isn't he a Dickensian character? Seriously, Ghostbusters. Just... what even? 😂
One of my favorite episode.
Enjoy the christmas time.

Master Splinter himself Peter Renaday as the voice of Ebenezer Scrooge.
Wish the cartoon was still on Netflix.
If you're in Canada, it's on CTV Throwback. Although it has commercials since it's a free service.
