It's a great film, but by no means underrated. Unless you mean underappreciated by critics, but I think critics have lost all credibility in recent years 😂

i liked it. it helped the movie sell well because even though the film appealed to movie fans and more casual action movie fans, the trailer got the action movie fans whereas the reviews got the movie fans. it was mixed genres. i watched the movie back in 94 because of this trailer.
Nah, look at the original script & cut scenes. This was originally supposed to be Humbert Humbert the Professional, then someone cleaned up Besson's script to make it more Hollywood acceptable.
A truly unforgettable masterpiece, and a touching film. With such a perfect cast of the Underrated Jean Reno, Natalie Portman, Gary Oldman, and so many others, it literally created a film that was perfect with such a strong emotional, action-packed storyline and what a soundtrack. Honestly, one of the very few films, that you can truly say has no flaws, and one that everyone can agree is perfect. With such a low budget to work with, created a true masterpiece, A film, that'll never be forgotten.
The one criticism I've heard is that Mathilda's infatuation with Leon is just a little bit uncomfortable for some. I, for one, thinks it's handled delicately enough and is very much in character for Mathilda's experiences. I think there are versions of this movies that are edited a bit differently to cut some of that out.
Again the trailer doesn't give this wonderful movie the praise it deserves. After a pretty low 2024 for me, this movie did so much for in terms of delivering on all fronts, i just love it, a movie for the ages and to the people who made this. Thank you, you dont know how good this movie made me feel. I really loved it. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I just cant say that enough.

Honestly. This trailer doesn't do the movie justice. They're selling it solely as an action flick, while it has a lot more to offer.

It's a fine movie. It's not great. Pretty forgettable. Standard action flick but with a female lead. Zoe Saldana is just fine in it.
