I always imagine a Napoleonic era battle short film set to this piece. It starts off with news the enemy are on their way, the battle itself with a close friend killed rounded off with a cavalry charge towards the end and then a victorious gaze into the distance to finish it off
Absolutely amazing. I never cease to be impressed by the color and beauty of Korsakov's ability for melody and orchestration. I know as soon as the violin section comes in that this is the work of a master.
yas xnn I can recommend you a few songs that will make you have goosebumps such like this song does :) Astor Piazzolla - Oblivion Vivaldi - The four seasons (Winter) Iliya Zaki - resolution Barber - Adagio for strings Giorni dispari - Ludovico Einaudi

Love the photographs many of which I had not seen before . I have his autobiography “My Musical Life” he knew Rachmaninov,Stravinsky,Tchaikovsky all the mighty handful and records a training cruise halfway around the world small wonder that he depicts the sea in his compositions so well. He also recounts searching for a piano in Gravesend Kent to play over the 2nd movements for his 1st Symphony ,not far from where I live , later this was the basis for a glamourised film of his music using the same title as this music.
I only found this out by the amazing author James Mayhew! Had a zoom call with him(not just me others aswell) and on the 1st part of the collection of music he turned it on started painting the sea monster with the boat on top. I'd never heard of the author so because I was so intrigued in his drawing and the music he played I searched him up. And this music I love once again.

I prefer the young prince & young princess. More cinematic.
This was one of my most favourite pieces of music of my childhood. It brings so many memories.
This piece shows me something I have never had and will never have. Yet it is so encompassing that I get to escape in the moment.
I actually listen to this when I want to feel better about human existence.
Mükemmel eser Rimsky KORSAKAVin çocukluğuma getirdi.👍👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️🤗

I cannot unhear that it sounds like the 7th element from Vitas. This is a masterpiece though.
well maybe we found his influence
@@nikolakolchakov5691 Korsakov was actually inspired by the DMX song, "Where the Hood At"
