The localization of the way Rimuru speaks is fun. Brittney’s delivery of the informal dude-bro speak is what sells it.
I met her once during a con, and it seemed like she was a big fan of Rimuru too. Was constantly thinking of quotes to use for autographs.

I love it too. I only wish they had layered a bit of it into Ernesto Jason Leibricht's speech patterns as Satoru Mikami. I know we only see him for a few minutes in the first ep and then like a few seconds when he talked about how he was a subordinate in his old life (I can't remember the ep) but even he said one little colloquialism that would better tie him to Brittany's performance.

Yeah, but I sure hope it wasn't this easy for other future reincarnates to receive new powers. Before watching the dub version, I didn't realize that Rimuru got physical and all elemental resistant status, and his unique skill by mumbling about stuff before his death. I mean that's just too easy, no?

When I found out about the series and the protagonist involved, Rimuru made me think of Quina from Final Fantasy IX. I like Final Fantasy IX and when I had the chance to watch the series, I liked it.

This along with War on Geminar are my number 1 Isekai. It did everything i wanted. Rimiru is not Ainz is what i loved about this, he seeks control, not domination. He will let others live as long as they know their place.

If you’re going to the effort of dubbing for a localization why would you next translate the onscreen text as well? It’s like you halfway localized it and then gave up.

About 10 minutes into episode 2, the dub voice actor for Rimuru read the scene aloud. "[Rimuru] Rimuru used water blade and it was super effective." As Rimuru does not make it a habit to refer to itself in the third person, I assume this to be a misstep.

Just realized how unauthentic the knife scene was, nobody and I mean nobody just randomly runs into a person with a big A$$ knife. I get this was kind of a quick manufactured way to kill off the character with out using a truck. Aside from this scene the rest of the series is actually quite good.

I find that the isekai anime's never do a good job at fallowing the manga, the worst being "I'm a spider now, so what" witch starts jumping foreword 14 years or something to when the human reincarnated students from the Kumoko's class are starting to move.. the manga doesn't even bring them up before Kumoko runs across the young Hero.
this one starts to get mixed up towards the end of the first season when Rimuru go's to meet the children.
