HUTCHINSON MAKES CLUTCH PLAYS EVEN WHEN HE DOESNT GET THE STATS. I WATCHED THE FIRST LIONS VS BEARS GAME AND SAW JEFF OKUDAH GET A PICK 6! Awesome but that only happened because Aidan forced Justin fields to throw over him since he was in the throwing lane.

A total stud! Knew he was good, but watched the film and I saw a perennial all-pro in him.
"He's a football player" I think in the highest compliment that Dan Campbell can give. Trying to keep the ego in check, even though he is that good.
He should be one of the key players that finally turn things around for the Lions so they can start winning playoff games and he just so happened to grow up right down the road. The Lions have to find a way to keep him long term. I can easily see him playing for 10 to 15 seasons and being a hall of famer

Then you don't know the stats n Gardner, not just tackles, int and passes deflected, im talking about the deep stats what percentage Qbs threw against him what he allowed ,look he fat out is Defensive rookie of the year, Hutch had 5.5 of his sacks in 2 games so in 6 games he had sacks,theres plenty of games he wasn't a factor, not that he isn't good,he's gonna be a stud,but he didn't have the impact Gardner had and every pro football analyst says the same thing bro, just cause u like someone doesn't mean they should win, Gardner is a starter in the pro Bowl man, there's alot more than just the stats you see. Hutch is gonna Be a pro bowl player too but , him and Gardner are both special.

I’m probably biased in thinking Hutch should get DROY over Sauce. Both had terrific rookie seasons with both affecting the game well beyond stats. But that Hutch is a DE and got more interceptions than Sauce, who played CB, puts Hutch over the top for me.

I said this before... Sauce is legit, but the problem is, second half of the season no one threw his way...what do you do with that? Hutch fought and proved it. So who do you give it to?

For all the talk about how Sauce got, how he rated higher than any DB, not just rookies... Hutchinson was the most doubled EDGE in the league, not just rookies.
Both of them got deference that rookies normally don't; and much less succeed in. Both are more than worthy of being Rookie of the Year.
He did all of this while being double blocked more than any other DE in the NFL. He is the total package on and off the field and he's only going to be better in year two. Bought my #97 jersey the moment they went on sale. lol

Hutch is a BEAST 💯💙🦁 I knew he would bring change having heart and wanting to stay home and build a winner.
I lean toward Sauce's all pro nod being almost dispositive for DROTY, but I'm probably more of the opinion that an edge can affect a game way more than a lock down corner; and I think how diversified Hutch's production was evidences that. Sauce can negate the opponent's number one threat or cause a team to simply never throw his way, but isn't that at least arguably akin to teams game planning in ways that led to Hutch being the league's second most double-teamed edge? And he still had the production he had.
An edge affects the QB on every play, you cant scheme around them. Hutch was basically prime JJ Watt in the second half of the season, most dominant defensive player the Lions have had since Ndamukong Suh
