If I can give anything to this game, it's the graphics! And all of PS3's exclusives are showing what the PS3 is capable of, it surely got the number on the visuals, I wish it was the same stuff it was back in the day where you had 4000 games on both SNES and Genesis but half of them weren't on the other system or even if they where, they didn't look and feel the same, showing each system individually it's strenghts and taking advantage of them.
I got killzone 2 a few days ago and beat it in a day it has an amazing single player campaign but kinda short but the multiplayer is just awesome im so addicted to it haha
The multiplayer in this game is brilliant! Its not just stupid deathmatches where you just pointlessly kill one another, you've got objectives and stuff which make it really fun. Its best when you can team up with a couple of guys...
Does this game have like an "easy mode, hard mode" thing? I know that the single player campaign is only about 6-8 hours long. So I'd love to play the game over again.
nope, though i think you can at times if you go up to the higher levels i think you can control those aerial vehicles. You have objectives where you need to blow stuff up, capture locations and stuff, kill a certain person on the other team, protect a person on your team from getting killed. It makes the multiplayer gameplay a lot more exciting. And there there's also the deathmatch where you kill as many as you can!
@rituelslayer448 same here, that was the reason I bought a PS3. After a while I bought Infamous, Uncharted 1 and 2, Resistance 1 and 2, Demon Souls and Wipeout HD. I can't wait for Killzone 3.
you actually can force it to play in 1080p. It looks great. You go to SETTINGS, then choose DISPLAY, and choose HDMI, you can probably figure out the rest on your own.

Personally I dont think there are enough good games available for the PS3, (there are a few great ones) but I think games like Killzone2 and Resistance will make up for this and we need more MORE!!!
I love this game, its only a shame that there are almost no guns in the multiplayer. I mean 2 assault rifles, 1 shot gun, 1 rifle, 1 SMG, 1 sniper rifle,... But the multiplayer is so intense you just forget all that :)
@GamesNGuns no prob man. it's hard for games with very good graphics to run at a steady clip, hence why developers often choose 30fps, since that gives good graphics and a reasonable framerate. games with very simple, or even bad graphics (call of duty) run at 60fps, because there's just not so much to strain the ps3, less effects and so on. also the 60fps is a nice thing in multiplayer because it's just that lil bit smoother
dude its gonna be awesome. looks like they borrowed a few things from other games. Bioshock, and the mech at 5 somethin is like Mech warrior. AWESOME can't wait to get it soon
yeah, the flamethrower looks a bit odd. but its liquid napalm so... the one they showed earlier looked the best ive ever seen in a shooter, even better than the one in RTCW. you should be able to get a ps3 for quite cheap soon, as sony will most likely announce a price drop at gamescon on tuesday
everything is the same except for the crouch button. you press R2 instead of circle. In KZ2, circle is the "action" button (ex., placing bombs in search and destroy, climbing ladders, and etc).
No i dont mind people saying bad things about it. So please dont judge me on that. Im just saying this is the only review that really digs into the game. I mean, I hate the sluggish feeling that this game has but its just very intense and I like intense games.
I Enjoy This Game Way More Than MW1&2. The Only Downside Is In The Online Multiplayer, When The Game Host Is Gone It's Game Over. It Sucks If You Rack Up 200+ Kills And Not Get The Points.
This game looks very good. I know you are going to hate me for it, but it looks like a slower paced Call Of Duty but in the future. Thats not a bad thing by the way. And it has awesome graphics, which is always a plus.
Got Metal Gear Solid 4 and it ROCKS but it is a bit choppy at times would have been amazing if it was fluid at all times then it would have been a blockbuster :)
I really think you should have reviewed the online multiplayer action, which quickly denegrates into a clusterf@#k. I guess, by itself, it's well made, and I enjoy the way the missions are strung together. However, the dynamic of running across the vast boards to get to where the fighting is, and then jumping into the meat grinder that is online multiplay leaves something to be desired. Still, I think the game is worth the price of admission for fans of the shooting genre.

when i think FPS, i think killzone 2. it just has something alot of other fps games dont. its original, realistic in almost every way, it sometimes feels as though im actually in the game. this game should have gotten alot more then what it got. i mean come on, it looks and feels so much better then CoD could ever hope to be. like MAT0R0 said, im friggin stunned

i think killzone is like gears of war in first person. Graphics are better though, they both have blood (alot of blood), they both involve aliens, they are both very dark and sad and a bit black and white, they both got a good review. It Is Just My Opinion

A very awesome review mate. Just a point about the multiplayer....there are always tons of ppl playing so I never have a shortage of ppl to play with.
One reason I love Killzone 2 and 3 over COD or MOH is the feel of "slowness and weight" of the weapons the character uses.

This guy actually gets this game.. The "slow" controls is meant to be slow, for it to get that "heavy" feeling of wearing 60 pounds of armor.

Btw this game is also compatible with 1080p just make sure you disable 720p in your ps3 settings and bam there u go 1080p Killzone 2
