My father in law lived in Saltash for about 35 years until he sadly passed 2 years ago. We loved travelling down to visit. We did the walk across the Brunel bridge to celebrate 150 years too .
Wonderful to be looking at a current day comparison that's still an operational railway and not a pile of undergrowth ... or new Housing Development with a Beeching Way!
Are you covering West Cornwall? Thinking particularly of Gwinear Road and Helston, where I used to live, and the bits of the old line that have been resored and reopened as a heritage project
Terras Crossing is one of the best crossings in the world. Although Cars have to stop, the crossing is by a blind Road junction, and there are no other warning mechanisms, such as lights, bell, barriers or sirens to warn cars of the oncoming train.
A semaphore signal on a platform ? That's a recipe for disaster isn't ? l'll bet a few drunk members of the local Zoo have swung of it Friday and Saturday nights !!!

You have me hooked. West, central, and now east Cornwall. This series of videos is absolutely ACE. First rate work.
Many thanks
4:46 I remember seeing an ex-works D6336 shunting the yard at Liskeard in 70 or 71, still got a photo somewhere!
All the yard is now a car park
