My friend and I went on this ride a couple months ago. All the POV's i watched beforehand was NOTHING compared to actually experiencing it. I am terrified of rollercoasters but i loved the thrill of this one.
I remember when i went to Universal last April. The park was about to close and we had time to spare. So, me and my sister went to the ride one last time. Only two other people were there. It was all worth it.
This ride has 3 launches. It was built in 2004. It is an indoor coaster. 1st launch is backwards at 0-16 mph in 1.3 seconds. 2nd launch is a lift hill at 0-21 mph in 2.4 seconds. 3rd launch is after the effects at 0-40 mph in 3.6 seconds.

LittleBlonde Kitty You should defiantly ride it. Here's a tip for when you do, if you're getting a picture try to sit in the front row all the way to the right. Since it goes down sideways no one will be covering you and you'll be in a high and clear spot.
ok so I took a trip to universal for the first time with my school band and the literal day before we had gone to magic kingdom where I had rode my first ever rollercoaster, space mountain (i'm 15 lmao). since I was deathly afraid of coasters before the trip, I did a lot of research and watched a lot of videos to see what I had in store. seeing this video before riding made me think it wasn't that bad (plus I had a friend that kept saying it wasn't even fast or scary or anything), but omg...this ride was so unexpectedly fast and scary I was so taken aback. I just remember screaming the whole ride 😂 it was a blast though!! definitely my favorite ride at universal. this trip made me become a rollercoaster addict, too bad I missed out on them for 15 years because of my fear of them before :( I always sat down and watched my friends at amusement parks but this trip was too expensive to not ride anything...but again thank God I sucked it up and rode because I would have never found my passion for coasters!

So I wonder if I'm the only one who noticed on the bug part when you go backwards they purposely made the lights on the track green to simulate the eyes of the beetles
I rode this Just a few days ago on Friday!! The part with the fire had me burnin up, it felt like I was being cooked alive xD!! The line was long but the ride was worth it.
Here's some fun facts about this ride :D 1. The original King Kong ride was located there. 2. At the picture drop, if you look up you may be able to see the tracks of the original King Kong ride. 3. In the room with the other mummies, in the left corner a mini golden statue of King Kong can be seen.
Has anyone rode this ride recently? I remember riding it back in 2005 and it was fast going up the hill. Then when I rode it 5 years later; it was like grandma walking up the hill. In the video; it looks like they got the launch back up to speed.
Hollywood1127 I rode this just about a month ago. It's faster than it was a few years ago, but this video made it look different. I've been on the Mummy a total of 43 times (37 visits) and it has improved
One time I went on this rollercoaster and it was great it was awesome its was so cool I thought it was going to be like a calm ride but as soon as the roller coaster said your souls are mine and we went down that was so scary but nice and fun and its so scary and fun because it goes so fast and its so cold inside and its in the dark so it feels like you are falling in the air in the dark its so cool I really recommend this roller coaster you guys should try it 😜😜😜

I don't think it goes upside down. I've just been on the ride once and I was scared shitless so I didn't pay attention to if it goes upside down or not. Plus, it's been like 5 years since i've been on the ride.
ImThatGirl97 It doesn't go upside down, just some drops and sideways turns. The only rides in Universal/Islands of Adventure that go upside down are the three roller coasters. Trust me, I've been to both parks 37 times (I'm 12) and I've rode Mummy 43 times. (I really have an addiction Send Help)
When I went on this, there was this kid that tried to get off at the fake get off area and when the ride was dine i overheard him crying and saying, "I though it was over, and then it wasnt!"
GlamorousGrace 1. It doesn't go upside down, just sideways turns and drops. 2. It's just a lap thing, sorta like the one in front row Ripsaw Falls (If you've been on it) It doesn't surround your waist completely for the experience (but it's 100% safe ^^)

I went to the LA one but chickened out cuz the line was long and the mummy on the scream was just creating me out. Bad enough for the house of horrors I had my ears plugged and eyes shut only relying on my mom that I won't crash into something.

Universal Studios Revenge of the mummy ride changed a lot the buildings and rails building have 2 humans with dog/wolf heads statue font of the building and the rails/ride is much more faster,dark and scary in the year of 2015 I noticed the difference.
I don't like the bug part I always go to Orlando Florida and I went to universal I'm going in like two weeks I'm only 10 so I have to wait till spring break this time I'm going to Adventure Island😊😊😊😊
