Okay, here we go. This is my biggest project yet. I started working on this Loona animation just for fun in February 2019. I had the goal of finishing it by the time their Butterfly promotions were over. But my mind had come up with a project that would definitely take a little bit more of time. And here I am, a year and a half later, with more than 2280 hand drawn frames, FINALLY showing this to you.
Thanks to everyone that has been interested in this since I started making this, when I posted teasers on Twitter (and here on TH-cam) and to everyone that's watching this now and enjoys it. I had a lot of fun, but now I need some time off *laugh*.

@@syamilrajak97 i really regret not being able to include her as much as i wanted (she’s my bias), but since let me is a ballad and it doesn’t have a choreo, I couldn’t put her in the solo parts 😔 i did try to make up for it on the ot12 songs (and even added her in So What as a small easter egg/cameo), but yeah, it really is sad I couldn’t add her. i’ll try to make up for it in the future... 😭

That is not true. There are tons of fandoms and so much fanart/content that hasn't been seen or counted. You cannot say other fanbases are unmatched. Putting other fanfoms down isn't a compliment let alone being potentially incorrect.
@@stelliferousoofer9044 Nooo that’s true too. I can see that too. But me being multifandom too, it’s just that orbits have given them their own stamp as the creatively proactive fandom. While there are other fandoms who definitely have talented and creative people, that still doesnt make orbits a part of those fandoms too. We just see orbits as more of that fandom because of all the things we’ve seen them do. There’s no way orbits r the only fandom like that 😂

The units, the color coding, everything about this animation is SO BEAUTIFUL???? It's so fluid and stunning, like literally there is not a second you don't just stay watching in awe!!! The detail in Yves' corset was stunning, and I looove how you added Haseul in So What, even for just a split second. I can imagine how hard it was to draw a figure with her height, proportions and all of that from imagination💗
i used one of Yves fancam as reference and tried to change it up a bit. It doesn’t exactly resemble her, but i wanted it to be ot12, always. And Yves’ corset is too beautiful to leave it plain, i had to do something hehe (it took quite long to make though). Thank you so much!! 🥰🥰

i hope this doesn't come across the wrong way but personally my favourite part of this is seeing how your style changed and improved as the project went on. it's such a soft, imperfect, human touch that you dont often see in kpop content and shows the insane amount of time that went into this. thank you so much for the video, it's great!

The way this is made omg... A lot of animations in this style tend to not pay as much attention to clothing details and shadows but you did all of them and it turned out seamless, it's amazing!

I love stuff like this. So artistic, and the way each subunit has different styles of color coding, ughhh it's intoxicating. I wish the whole performances were rotoscoped like this lol, would look so cool.

this might be one of my favorite pieces of fan content ever now. especially with all the group choreos! I know these take a while just to plan for transitions and effects, but you really went all out, and it turned out great! starting off with color over white, then over black, and then white/black over member color for the sub-units was a really neat detail. I loved that distinction.

Orbit talent and creativity never ceases to amaze me. This is really so awesome. A few months ago I tried to auto-rotoscope Butterfly and quickly realized there was no good way to do it fully in code... I'm really glad I stumbled across this video, because it's so much better than what I was trying to do.
thank you!! auto rotoscoping has improved a lot over the last years, so i’m sure it’d be interesting to watch! hand drawn rotoscoping definitely has a different feeling but takes too much time, so it’s pretty much all about the time and effort you want to invest in it 😅

I love how yyxy have sharper lines because it could be a great way of symbolizing that by the time Yves came out, the image of Loona was getting sharper and cleaner as there weren't that many members left unseen.

This is soooo amazing, just one tiny question, why isn't Haseul or Hyunjin their solos in here?
their solos don’t have choreographies since they are ballads
I amnot the animator so correct me if I'm wrong but most likely because this is a coreography focused animation and neither have choreos. That's probably why Hyunjin was introduced with I'll be there instead.
yes, that’s exactly why. i could introduce Hyunjin with I’ll Be There, but since Haseul doesn’t have a B-side with choreo, I couldn’t put her solo. Thank you for understanding! 💓
