As a Feyenoord fan, I’m going to try to give a non-biased reaction, but as a Serie A team with a much bigger budget drawing against a team missing a heavy amount of key players, “Bijlow, Trauner,geetruida,jahanbaks, timber,gimenes only being able to play 20 minutes. “
I would say a 1-1 draw is a bad result for Roma..
As an unbiased Roma fan, I sincerely agree.
A supposedly superior Roma played basically a reserve grade Feyenoord and were disappointing with a full squad to finish with a draw..
The majority of the media continue to pump up DDR and the squad.
Mou had to go because some of the players downed tools - it's a shame.
It is interesting that those players are running more now .
Time will tell in the coming weeks if their effort will remain consistent - 'the honeymoon period' presently.
When people are more happy with the style of play being played rather than getting results this only leads to players being in a comfort zone where winning becomes secondary importance.
Certainly the wrong mentality.
If Feyernoord can get a few more 1st team players back an upset is possible as complacency is an issue with this Roma squad.
I agree, bad result for Roma
and definitelty some bad player management from De Rossi with substitutions. I think John and Andy always try to look into the positive too much.
The Feyenoord team on the field at home is still better than Genoa and Cremonese, who Roma struggled against and got waxed in Genoa's case. With a new manager and on the road in his first European game, I still think it's an okay result.
@@MrDuncanquasar This is not on DDR but on the owners and several of the players who lacked the 'cojones' to take criticism on board by the previous manager - one who has always pushed his players in order to get the most out of them (historic 2 consecutive European finals result).
Clearly, Pelle was not happy being constantly upstaged by Dybala and his regular injuries and poor form didn't help either - his improvement has been noted. Karsdorp still a poor player defensively lacking concentration BUT his increased running now also noted. Spinna can be included in the group of suspects that helped get rid of Jose.
Don't think the owners want EL, in any case, as an objective preferring to focus on Serie A and CL place next season.

I think it eas because we got 8-9 mil for the vina sale pluss, geting rid of some wages by sending belotti and kumbulla on a loan. We also got a loan fee for belotti.
@@Luken504 Can't use Vina's money - that will be used to reduce the debt.
The Kumbulla/Bellotti loan deals have allowed both the loan deals of Angelino/Baldanzi to happen and enough money left over for Azmoun to be slotted in to EL list.
Next season the budget will be more manageable and reduced heavily with no Mou, no Lukaku, no Rui, no Spinna, no Dybala likely, no Celik?, Kristensen loan return, Bellotti sale, Kumbulla sale? Others??
Plenty of funds available to bring in cheaper options!
Certainly looking at 6th-10th finish for the next few years!!
