There's actually a legit reason in the game's lore why Yamcha is pretty good to play as. The idea of the power suppressing waves is that the stronger you are, the more your power is weakened. Because Yamcha is pretty weak already, he's not affected as much as the others, so he's a lot more even with them than he used to be. I kind of love that, it's always hard to reconcile in these games when I'm playing as Roshi beating Kid Buu or whatever, but this game invented a way for it to make sense lol
The FighterZ story is pretty simple and just made to grind but one thing I do really like about it is the character interactions. Depending on which characters are on your team and who they're facing will trigger a unique cut scene which is so cool to me.
I remember when Jack didnt know what a Super Saiyan was. Now hes like 3 dbz games in and is watching the Tournament of Power on the edge of his seat. What an emotional roller coaster

I hard disagree with the chat members saying Freeza is one of the worst. Dude's one of like 2 fighters who can stay transformed for longer than 1 attack, and the damage boost is insane once you know how it interacts with sparking blast.

I dunno if you can change assists in Story Mode, because back then every character had just one assist and that was it, but in standard gameplay, you can choose between three assists. Krillin's other assists are a Kamehameha and the Solar Flare (if I recall correctly), but the rock assist is debatably his best one because it halts anything the opponent does and has a janky ass hitbox making it tricky to defend against. Also, if you've taken damage and have recoverable health left, it becomes a Senzu Bean

The story for this game is not very good, but please don't let that put you off the game. Once you finish the story, and you start playing matches and learning the characters, this is easily the best Dragon Ball game out right now, until Sparking Zero of course.

I say finish the story and eventually play some online matches. That would be awesome. And if you do, make sure you play Ranked and not Casual Jack. Casual has no skill based matchmaking so you will only fight sweats.
