(intro and the end)
True story: back in the late 90s; Canada banned the Porky Pig cartoon "Polar Pals" because they said "Eskimo" in the song "Let's Rub Noses Like the Eskimoses", yet "Mississippi Hare" (which actually shows black slaves picking cotton) was shown on YTV (they stopped showing Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies in 1998), Teletoon (now Cartoon Network Canada) and Teletoon Retro (Now Boomerang Canada) until 2015
@@staspastukh2005 because the word Eskimo is a racial slur towards Inuit people (that's why the CFL team the Edmonton Eskimos changed their name to the Edmonton Elks a few years ago, due to both cancel culture and after 215 unmarked graves of Indigenous children were discovered at a former residential school in British Columbia).
@@IamtheRealLizardQueenso I guess the censored eleven aren’t the only banned looney tunes cartoons
There were also “the twelve missing hares” being 12 cartoons taken down from Cartoon Network’s June Bugs 2001 marathon
There weren’t even Blue Ribbon Merrie Melodies from this video. All that matters is just the non blue ribbon cartoons.
