    Quick update. Played 10 rounds this November. Broke 100 7x out of 10. Best score 94. This Friday will play my nemesis course and gonna smash it. Wish me luck. Happy golfing everyone.

    after many years getting into positions and working on fixes in my golf swing this is just mind blowing and works. I hit some wedges on the school playing field the other day (I am a teacher) and within 3 shots my footwork improve and I hit a baby draw on every shot and took a proper divot. usually I sweep through the ball and my divot is very shallow. this made me hit proper divots ahead of the ball. can't wait to play after lockdown to see how the driver goes. Thanks Marcus.

    I must have had the same instructor, initially... keep your feet still and do not sway off of ball. Will watch from 6:50 on to get the fix! Is golf really this simple... maybe there’s hope for this old goat yet! Cheers, Marcus for the lesson and Robin for the upbeat comments. I’m happy for everyone including me.

    Excellent lesson, where do you position the ball for a draw and a fade, thank you.

    Amazingly simple,
    amazingly effective
    I played golf when I was younger,6 handicap
    Then Hardly played for 20 years.
    About 3 years ago I got the bug again.
    Unfortunately the swing didn't follow.
    From then until now, I've been absolutely diabolical.
    So bad I almost missed the ball altogether, a few times.
    Had lessons from 2 professionals,would have been better keeping the money, and going to the pub.
    Now after watching some of your lessons.
    I'm pure cracking it like I did 20 years ago
    Happy days
    Thank you

    Without a doubt some of the best instruction available online! The best for a high handicapper, but valuable for every level. Less commentary from the cameraman.

      Hi Jim. I think the camera operator is quite good as he encourages the students. He's quite funny in other videos when there's some banter between them all.😆

    Please keep up this amazing content, Marcus!
    Can’t tell you how much your “Jedi Mechanics” have changed (read: improved the efficiency) of my swing...and stopped random muscle pains...
    Not to mention, I’ve been reading about keys for visualization during the swing (to focus on instead of swing thoughts, self-talk) and have recently adopted visualizing you standing with the yellow hoop on my intended ball flight...
    SHIT WORKS.
    Keep it up. Stay safe. Can’t wait for some new vids once everyone can get back to it.

  • @malone77
    @malone77 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Marcus, just a quick question on ball then turf contact. Do you even consider that worth thinking about? The reason I ask is that I have been practising a lot of the last few months and having some success when it comes to making everything I do intention-based. However, I do feel like sometimes when I'm out the back door working on full swings I get back to my old ways of focusing too much on trying to hear ground interaction and I think I get too caught up in forcing the movement again of that makes sense?

    • @GRFGolf
      @GRFGolf  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, that's a great question. If you focus on turf interaction it may shift your intention away from the shot to the impact. I'll do a Facebook live video on this on my Students of Zen Facebook page over the next few days 👍

    Wow great improvement really resonates as I was like Ray. But how is he getting a 1.50 smash with a mid iron? Should be 1.33 with 7iron (PGA tour). Also see really high smash factors in other videos, lads carrying over 170 with low 80s club speed. Is it a glitch in swing speed of the tracer?

      ZEN Golf Mechanic Thank you for your response. FYI..I have been struggling with ball contact...I hit behind the ball or top it most of the time. I have been trying to relax and be aware of foot pressure and be aware of swing path and face angle but so far still struggling to make contact. Teachers here so far are very traditional. P.S. I love golf but lately I have been feeling some extreme frustration at times.

      Yeah he was awesome, most people don't have his ability, awareness or affinity for playing the game like he did. There's more than one way to help people and we're trying to de-clutter the player so they can find their most optimal efficient swing without conscious effort. Ray felt this was easy. The best movements you make in life are normally the ones you don't have to think about whilst doing it.
