I played: 5 vayu, 1 frog monarch, & 1 plant synchro in Swiss. And then in top cut I played Flip Disaster Dragons, Plants, & Frog Monarchs in the runoff for 3rd. My losses in Swiss were 1 vayu and 1 frog monarch (same person I meet again in top cut) match. Then in top 8 lost to Rob the Man in a very close match in G3 with a caius being what he needed to go for game and he had it. But the team pulled through so we still moved on. Lost in time in top 4 to plants (who ended up 2nd) & for a boomer who just recently returned to the game new times rules had never actually happened to me yet, so it was a learning experience to get that end of phase time call. Then played frog monarch again and got the clap back to end the day at 3rd. 🎉
I think knowledge of everything your opponent has or mostly what they have, is so game breaking and to be able to figure out what lines of play best fit your situation to find game. It does get sided out usually for a better trap in the side board if I’m not going first.
