It is, I have a wide foot (can’t fit into the new vapors or rhe Adidas crazy fast). These fit snug but not uncomfortable at all, can’t wait to properly break them in this upcoming week.
Lets be real here. Take-down models of leather boots have always been made of synthetic materials because it is cheaper. The move from leather to synthetic from Nike and Puma has nothing to do with the environmental impact of leather or accommodating the California and Oregon markets. This has everything to do with profit margins.
1) I agree; I view this as a cost cutting measure rather than improving a product. 2) Take-down models (Pro & Academy tier) of the Tiempo Legend 9 are in fact made out of leather... which makes this change hurt even more. I used to be able to buy well-fitting take-down models but now they are a thing of the past
It’s also these brands trying to push the whole “leather boots and leather uppers are obsolete” BS… it’s nothing to maintain their profit margins. Puma have done it twice with the King and it didn’t yield any success

and you werent wrong either the legend 10 academys actually fit my foot better cuz one piece uppers make the top lace part of my foot hurt really bad 😂
It wouldn’t hurt for them to go calf skin but going synthetic really takes away the charm of the tiempo. If anything I find these as it’s own thing rather than a continuation of the tiempos
i can guarantee that pros that want kleather versions will be wearing kleather versions like neymar when he was wearing mercurial hypervenoms and nobody will be able to tell the difference
For me this is its own thing rather than the continuation of the tiempo. Rather it’s the unofficial CTR360 maestri or Magista Opus Looks like a mix between CTR360 and Mercurial Vapor 10/11 mixed together

Grip on the ball, great. Felt like wearing a pair of socks, comfortable, yet snug and strong in the good ways.

Probably just used to wear his boots a bit tighter. Not as fun to beat up your feet as you get older haha When I played competitively I wore 8.5 but now I always go 9s for mens league

My son has a brilliant touch on the ball and is a creative no 10. Always liked tiempos. The 9 were the sweet spot for him. Both FG and SG. As he's still growing I've bought 4 pairs of 9's for tge future then it will probably be mizuno. Nike have ruined not only the tiempo but the tiempo when they had just got it perfect.

Just stock up on the legend 9’s if you can still find them in your size. With this new synthetic move it’s going to make the legend 9s 8s etc more valuable in the next few years.

I was actually excited about Nike's k-leather replacement but it's nowhere near. Is the soleplate on the Elite model better than the pro model? I had the Legend 10 pro for 5 weeks (AG) and the soleplate cracked... Until the crack it was the best budget football boot I've ever worn.
Nike won't post my review, so I'll post here.....No denying this is a quality product, it's just not what the legend stood for. I was looking forward to Nike's k-leather replacement, but this is nowhere near leather. That soft and supple feeling is not there, it feels like any other synthetic. Toe box is narrower, more tapered in comparison to the last version, that paired with the fact that this new material won't stretch like leather results in a narrow fitting boot. I don't have particularly wide feet except mildly in the toe area, but I can see the wide foot legend fanbase moving to something else. The flynit heel fits loose, there's a weird pocket on both inner ankle area where I can fit a finger loosely, and given that these are the AG plate version, I can see a lot of pellets from the surface ending up in there. I returned them so I can't speak for how they perform on field, maybe they'll break in like leather, but I just don't see that happening. Don't get me wrong, this feels like a quality boot, I can see the synthetic gang getting behind these, but they're just not what legends have been known for. The end on an era....
Why do they feel the need to make every solo as thin as possible? Got some old ctr360 maestri ii elite and the padding those is awesome. Struggling to find anything that comes close. They have three other silos that are thin now, why make tiempo as well?
They’re pretty different in terms of fit and feel. The MIJ Morelia 2 is the single most comfortable football boot in the market in my opinion. Being a fan of leather boots, I’d pick those over almost anything. If you like more of that modern “speed” boot fit and feel though, you’d be better off with the Tiempos. Two great boots, it just depends on what you’re looking for
I have the more expensive version and they’re amazing. Highly recommend mizuno. I did pick up a og pair of the phantom venoms bc they were my favorite cleat I’ve ever worn But the mizunos I still have and they’re easily second for my favorite pair of cleats. Third would be a pair of tiempos I had way back in the day. I think they were the 6s.. but I could be wrong
