At least we will see some difference only in 4K...
My 4090 running at PCIE 4.0 x8 ( it it actually PCIE 5.0 x8, and literally PCIE 3.0 x16 ), so which side should I be looking at? 😂
as you said pcie4 x8 has same speed as 3 x16
you can check with gpuz, most lowend boards use gen3 x8, some even x4, pcie 2/1 no question theres fps loss
What happens at higher resolution though? 4k 1440p?
Run the test in an only designed pci-e 3.0 motherboard
wIlL tHe RtX 3060 bOtTlEnEcK iN a PcIe 3.0 SlOt?
low 1% and 0.1% have better averages on pci 3.0
what about using pcie 4 gpu on pcie 3 mb system ?
I have 9600k planning to get a 4070 with 9900k is it good considering this gen/9h gen with z390 MB uses a pcie 3 ? do I have to get 12/13 gen intel cpu ?
Thank you for this info.
Following a bad manipulation to change the thermal paste, my GTX 1080 is currently out and I wanted to find out about the difference in performance between PCIe 3.0 and 4.0. I know what to turn to if I need to replace it.
its useless as long as ur not going to a 3060 ti / 3070 (relatlivly high bandwith copared to the 3060/3050) the extra money u put on the mobo isnt worth it
The pcie 3.0 vs 4.0 only matters if the gpu is heavily pcie 4 dependant like rx6500xt is heavily pcie 4.0 dependant
Hello, if it is possible I want your opinion guys about a subject. I have an Asus x299-DELUXE II motherboard and I want to upgrade my GPU. I have stuck with the 2070 Super. Which GPU should I aim for?
holy shit I am so glad I went the 3 vs 4 rabbit hole and saved 80% of my upgrade money lmao (3.0 videocard vs whole new setup on 4.0)
thanks man!
This answers my question. Thank you!
Hello i bought a rtx 3060 12gb yesterday and when i play warzone i get around 40-30 fps and in csgo2 im getting 90-60 its just like my old rx 580 8gb my motherboard is pcie 3.0 and i have 16gb 3600mhz ram does anyone know the problem or the solution please?
what cpu u use?
i7-7700k but i will upgrade to 14th gen@@wanzmejuez
After getting my 3060 I was going to buy a b550f to replace my b350f but I might hold back abit longer tbh, not in any rush for 1-4 fps 😂
answer: no
How did you get a 13th gen processor on a mobo with pcie 3 slot?
13th gen intel compatible mobos support up to pcie gen 5 and so you cant set the gen of pcie (the link speed) in the bios 👍
a 4090 was needed to max out pcie 3.0 so a 3060 wil barely make a dent in it xD
and last time people said 3090 was needed to max out pcie 3.0... reality is pcie 4.0 only helps when your pcie 4.0 gpu is getting very high framerates. as 4090 gets older, it wont be bottlenecked in future games by pcie 3.0 either actually. its just currently bottlenecked by pcie 3.0 cause its able to deliver so high frame rates in current games.
@@teemuvesala9575 if you put a 4090 in a pcie gen 3 slot and you look at the fps and then put it in a pcie gen 4 slot and your fps increases with almost 50% then it means you reached the limit of gen 3 😂😂😂😂 and no if 4090 gets older gen 3 wont magically have more bandwith available 😂😂😂 do you even know pc hardware?
@@teemuvesala9575 @Dephside Both of you guys do know that techpowerup and Gamers Nexus has already done these tests, and their results are way different than what you two are arguing about?
@@Deathscythe91 I know it far better than you do. More FPS = more bandwidth required. Also 4090 is nowhere close 50% limited by PCIE 3.0. I actually tested 4070 Ti vs 4090 on 10900K system and in certain games 4090 was nearly 2x faster than 4070 Ti. If it was 50% limited they should have performed the same... What a clown you are 🤣 The scaling is there buddy, on PCIE 3.0 as well. The difference between PCIE 3.0 and 4.0 grows the more FPS you get in the game.
@@teemuvesala9575 you need to go back to school bruh hahahahahahahahhahahahahah hahahhaa
Thanks a lot for this video
so its just 1 fps different? im glad to see this video, thanks God, Alhamdulillah, im just bought a 4060, but my mobo using pcie 3.0, so i wonder how much fps matter
Where can I find rtx 3060 12gb in 300$
z nieba spadł mi ten film
