David, your leeks aren't just OK, they are marvellous! Time to enjoy eating them. This cold spell is taking its time to go. The ground is still solidly frozen. Best wishes. Nuka.
Thanks Nuka! I'm trying to convince Mrs Soil & Toil to make leek and swede soup garnished with sprouts but she's not buying it! 😁 Some people have no sense of adventure! 😆 All the best, David
I think it was more to do with the timing of when they were in the ground last year. We had a very unseasonal hot-dry spell. Then the frost didn't help. -11C is quite unusual for sunny Surrey!
Lovely plot tour Dave. Rhubarb looks like it’s getting ready to shoot. I love some early rhubarb 😋
Thanks Amir! I've forced some early rhubarb the last couple of years but I thought I'd give the crowns a rest this year. It's lovely stuff! 🙂

Those Leeks look awesome, new subscriber
Cheers Ashley! Thanks for joining in! All the best, Dave
These hard frosts have been a challenge!
It certainly has Helen! Trying to get things out or in to the ground is never guaranteed. Here's hoping for a mild and pleasant spring!
👍👍👍
Thanks Ronald! 😀
What happened with the cabbages? The frost killed them?
