      @@fookingsog I have most of their stuff since I was in my teens 30+ yrs ago. I do think he would be a better representative then some other Bushcrafters that have since become representatives and barely post.

      Well, he IS the reason I just bought my Stanley cooking cup and this cooking pot! Got them off eBay, and I found the Cook Cup without the stupid, useless green cups. I love what it will become after applying these hacks to it, and to the cooking pot!

    Very cool hack, James! I did something very similar with an old stainless steel pot that I picked up at Goodwill. If I remember correctly the pot was $1.50 cdn! Plus odds and ends I had lying around - so way under 2 buck! I love Goodwill!

    This was awesome James. A new cookset to make hacks for....YES!!! This is going to be a great addition to my Stanley 2 cup cookset!     I like seeing your hacks I pick up stainless bowls at yard sales for cheap they can be used to fabricate stuff out of along with stainless tig wire and you got something to work with thanks again for sharing

    Great mods. I often use cut down wire coat hangers, most of which rust eventually, but a good source of stainless steel wire for this sort of job is replacement bicycle wheel spokes.

      +1 on the bicycle spokes. They and damaged tire tubes for making ranger bands are usually free for the asking at most bike shops.

      @@donalddicorcia2433 Yep, I bike and keep my old tube. Mountain bike tube makes a good sleeve for my Zippo lighter to waterproof it and slow fuel evaporation.

    Ah, here is the first video from the other playlist that I couldn't find! Nice hack...but before I ho drilling into my cook pot, I am going to try wrapping hanger iron around the pot like you did the Stanley Cook Cup. Hopefully it will work just as well with no holes drilled

    Well James you have done it again. I would call that and upgrade to that pot system. I don't have that particular Cooking System but if I did I know I would hook it up just like that. Thanks for the video James you always do good. Yet another tool for the survival kit. Thanks for the video James have a great day and stay safe and keep your powder dry and your pot hanging! PS well James the way the gas prices are going it's not looking too promising for my grandson and I to get up to see you but we're going to try.

    Spent a lot of time in southern Ohio down around Welston in a small community named Buyer Ohio. It’s no longer there anymore but we would ride 4 wheelers & take my little Bronco II back in a spot called The Richland furnace. It was absolutely beautiful down in the foot hills of the Appalachian mountains.

    Awesome!!!! Wish they made a bush pipe without the handle on the side. I also wish they would make a insulated dish that you can put hot food in and take it to work and still have a warm meal to eat

    Now can you use a pipe clamp like you did with the two cup cook pot and wire hanger that way you don't have to cut and drill it
    But still a very good hack for the two bowl cook pot and I do have one of each.

    I did not know Stanley made that. Now I have to buy one and modify it. I use those S -biners they work great on my Stanley cook sets.
    Now you have something else to show us how to modify.

    Very nice. I have to admit that I didn’t know they had a two pot set . I don’t go into stores very much. I’ll have to look for this . It’s bound to be cheaper than a lot of the stuff I see on other channels. Have a great evening

      It's not too terribly pricey. I think it's well made and worth the money especially as it is fairly versatile.

    Seems the hole drilled for the added tab would work without cutting the rim and adding the tab and hardware. Bend the wire hook to be inside the pot then up and angle over to the handle. Maybe bring the hole up a bit higher and use a Z bend to go inside the pot.

      Many people regret just drilling a hole in the pot. I prefer to have the tab as it works more efficiently.

    Could you look into doing some hacks with a metal Bento set? I'm interested to see if you could kit it out with a bunch of preps, food and cook set! They even have some rectangular multi level sets that come with an insert that would be a perfect mini bread loaf tin!

    great hack as usual. I do have two questions.
    1) wouldn't heat transfer to the s-clip?
    2) could the strap be bent in a z-shape to avoid the lip?

      Ideas can always be improved. The Z would take more effort to make. Try it out and post your results.

      Yes, the heat will transfer some but it won't melt like the plastic one will. And you can bend the strap but it won't be as secure as the way I did it.

    I like the concept, but I would just slip the wire through the hole you drilled in the pot; I just don't care for the tab sticking up, especially when it's in my pack. I hadn't really thought about getting the new Stanley set, but now I'm interested. Thanks.

      I did it that way because I don't want the hole in the side of the pot as the pot tends to leak when boiling or making soup and runs down the pot and gets crusted and hard. A lot of people that have drilled a hole in their pot have regretted it later.

      @@WayPointSurvival Ah, I see. I guess you could leave the bolt in it until needed. I only worry about the hole if it's in one of the usual pour sides. Either way is a preference. Still a great idea!

    What a great idea. Owned this set for a few years. I could not come with a hanger system that would work. Tried many every one was an Epic fail disaster. This one looks simple and might just work for me. I wish I thought of that. Talk abou duh

    I just bought the Stanley Pro cookware set. It has two HUGE pots and a frying pan. I don't really want to mess with the pots because it is guaranteed for life and any modifications will void that guarantee. So, I use an old BBQ grill grill and make my fire pit to accommodate the grill to where the actual pot or frying pan is a few inches above the fire.
    Nice hack tho

    What a great and simple design. Why did u cut the lip, instead of going around the lip of the pot with the hanger though? Thanks for the idea. I have this pot, was looking at some way of doing this.
