Performances like this is why I can't and will most likely never take Americans seriously who say that UK rap is trash

I'm a 50 year old white man from UK and this song opened my eyes. Never before has a song affected me so much. I'm not racist in anyway shape or form but still didn't realize how blind I was to black culture and how you struggle just to be accepted. To be honest I feel ashamed of how blind I've been to it all.

am i the only one who noticed “the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice. a kid dies, the blacker the killer the sweeter the news” is a reference to tupacs line from ‘keep ya head up’ saying “some say, the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice. i say, the darker the flesh then the deeper the roots”

Every line is a sledgehammer blow, and everyone, black and white, needs to hear this message.

Man I’m white and know this is SO true! I was in the same situation growing up. Was born and raised in a low income area where it was mainly black. I had so many black friends I call my brothers. Still do till this day! It’s a struggle but I made moves to get out of there bc I wanted more. So blessed to be where I’m at today! Straight facts spoken in this song man

"Loud in our laughter, silent in our suffering." As a white man, that line made me feel deeply embarrassed because that's what we are. We need to join in the voices of all those being treated as less than equal. So much truth in those bars...
