I just put Holley on my car and my line pressure is 100 before I put it in gear and I thought that might be something thank you again you’ve helped me out so many times you don’t even know it I have Learned a lot just by watching good luck buddy and happy New Year
I say the convertor has rolled a couple of fins but has to be by passing cooler/converter pressure around the input shaft or the pump for the pressure to drop
Are you sure dead heading it was the correct thing to do John? Removing the regulator I would have attempted first and joining the lines together if what it looks like to me your system is (out of trans to cooler, then from cooler to regulator, then return to trans, as a full trans fluid cooling circuit)? If you just disconnected at regulator and dead head the return circuit then you actually have lost the entire cooling of fluid circuit, and lose the use of the volume of fluid in the lines and cooler (adding a union, or better yet, make up/ or buy, and carry a complete 1 pc line from cooler back to Trans so at any time you may remove the regulator from the circuit without dead heading like that. And for Courtney...Ketchup, sweet relish, and maybe mustard, but no mayo....on the dog. Now, question, in the car, center, rear of firewall, what is the silver canister mounted there please? That Saturn looks sweet all painted in your copper color. Will look even better once the front end is on...and last question, looking at the laptop data, it shows wheelie height entries, are there sensors on there already measuring to the ground? If so good to go, but If not, is the entry somehow causing issues with the tune? Just something I noticed on the settings on the left. I just did not know if you transferred those sensors to the Saturn yet or not.
That bit w/ Courtney's Sausage dog, I do me...But, Courtney is eating his so he could put whatever he wants on it (Ketchup, and Mayo, ans Stripper Glitter or that Super Glue you use...He is eating it not me!😂😊
Just a short update on my race car...Last pass at 4th event (ran 3 Div. Races (a Division 7 double at Bakersfield-2023 Div. 7 EF/S Class Champion & a Wally won at Race 2), last Div. 7 Divisional race at Las Vegas), 1 Nat. Event the NHRA In & Out Finals at Pomona, CA ran -.666 under index in Q1, .020 R.T., -.712 under index in Q2 R.T. .010, ran -.789 under index in E1, my -.008 (loss) to his -.005 (win, but both red) 3 thou between us both on the wrong side, but good news was all mine were short shifting 5,200 1-2, and 6,000 2-3, and Rev limit feature in the ECM is at 7,300 both shift points, yet last pass of 2023 was just 6 ticks (hundredths), off the DF/S Index, and I was 50 lbs over my EF/S min. Wt. So, I have been dieting the car again, removed 345 lbs. Entire interior is all over the garage floor at the moment, all ballast out, seats, carpet, sound deadening out, console, and other stuff legally removed, even scraped and removed 20 lbs of extra seam sealer factory applied in extreme excess from floor pans, repainted, cleaned the carpet, new shifter on the way, new shifter mount. And will reinstall the carpet, new shifter and seats this week, and will finally run it this season at 2,500 lbs car and driver in its original class of DF/S (instead of 2,845 lbs), where the index is actually .950 less, and be able to leg it out to 7,000 plus shifts without risking a HP factoring hit. I think legged out it would have run about -1.23 to -1.26 or better under the EF/S index. So lighter it should run even better. We will see, as new letters for the windows are ordered...switch back to EF/S wt. Trim, is about 2-3 hrs work prior to any event. The drive train is flat working! I am a happy camper, and season testing (Vegas), starts this month, next Div. Events and Nat. Events here on west coast starts Feb. 22-end of April! (3 Nat.-Pomona, Phoenix, LV), and Div. a double at Phoenix, and a double at Vegas. 7 Stock Elim. events by the end of April, yeah buddy!
I don’t know how long you’re keeping this car but it’s a very nice looking car. Randy is a super nice guy. He needs to put pants on. Looks cold. It’s cold up here in Ohio. I just like to wish you all happy new year and good luck next year for all of you
@ThePaintPaperHustle Lol.. you like what you like, I guess. However I'm not a mayonnaise guy at all as a condiment but if it's mixed into a recipe like tuna salad or potato salad then it's fine..but definitely not sausage dog 🤣🤣🤣
@@ThePaintPaperHustleI think most things that use bread taste better with mayo . These people would change their mind on mayo on a dog if they were in Arizona and had a Sonoran dog
Starting a car on methanol when it’s cold outside is very difficult. Methanol just doesn’t want to light off. There is only so much you can do with the tune.
Brake cleaner is nice the value per oz is better then starting fluid. Plus you only need to stock 1 type and use it for cleaning and starting. Also I think the cleaner starts better then starting fluid on some applications. Just make sure it's flammable
The brake clean is a little less violent and seems to burn a tad slower.......I have not tried starting fluid in a while, but last time I did it would fire off but seemed to not work as good as the brake clean. If no big bangs, lol
@@TurboJohnRacing interesting. I have found that the colder it is that the starting works better than the brake clean. Perhaps an ambient temp thing ? Warmer increases detonation risk of the starting fluid causing pops and bangs?
Mid to low 4's would be ideal high 4's to low 5's consistently to win occasionally when the big dogs are running. Hope this helps give you some idea of the times that are desired for the racing that John does. The Street Outlaws guys are running low 4's consistently when you look at the top competitors.
NEVER put ketchup on any kind of hot dog. Ketchup is for children. If you ask for ketchup at hot dog places in Chicago you will get a dirty look and most will say dirty. And mayo? 🤮. The only sauce to put on hot dogs is mustard.
Where's the front end?? I know you caught Chief and Jackie's live feed last week and it was asked about not running a front end or running one.. the front end has positive impact

Thank for sharing John, always educational even for a stick guy! Happy new year!
Thanks for posting, it made my day!

We need a second channel life lessons with TurboJohn.
1. Recharge a battery
2. If a zippy tie can’t fix it can it really be fixed?
lol, we did chunk the batteries....
DOUBLE B to the J!!
Big Block John!!
Happy New Year's
I know that Saturn tune will come this year!!
A sausage dog for me has ketchup mustard mayo relish..
I agree with beater bomb that one rule in no prep should be , all body panels required
Mayo and Ketchup for the win 😂
Good Video Man!!
Thanks man
Happy New Year John and crew. Sausage dog ? Mustard and maybe catsup. If its a bratwurst then sauerkraut h mustard
Any food that has dog at the end of its name gets mustard.😂
Happy New Year Sir!!!!! You really need to get more frontend travel, just saying!!!!
Happy new year! Yes, I agree
Mayo, ketchup, and occasionally mustard
Mayonnaise on a sausage dog 🌭 Courtney really, I don't think so..lol, mustard and ketchup.

Cool 😎 . Definitely no Mayonnaise on my dog !
Cool trick on the batteries.
Now throw them away!😁
Yeah, we did......lol
Or you can ebay buy some rechargeable double AA's and can get away with that trick or better yet an actual plug in charger.
🎉🎉 mustard onion & relish
Let's Goooooo
I like seeing the Gen1 SBC back in a GM , not gonna lie . . . 😊
Mayonnaise and mustard
Never heard of that one interesting
Happy New Year John but I would say you bent your stator fins
Yes, mayonnaise and ketchup
Why would you have your breather tank hose pointed directly at the lane right in a wheel track??
I need some zip ties too lol
Hey John where's Randy's Showmod Mustang at? I love that car.
Hibernation......lol Just waiting for Radial season to get back started.
Hey John how many passes do you use your slicks for ?
Definitely Blue Plate & Hunts
Mayo mustard and onions all day long 😂
Mayo mustard!!
Mayo, ketchup, mustard etc…
Mustard, cheese and onions!!!
I thought Court was pushing it by himself 8:07
lol I was. I pushed it to Randy then he helped 😆
Oooh yeah now I see lol
Definitely torque converter problem..❤
Mustard and chili. Mayo wtf on a sausage dog noooo😢
I got two questions John first why don't you use starting fluid and second why don't you adjust the Holly system so the car will start when it's cold
Starting a car on methanol when it’s cold outside is very difficult. Methanol just doesn’t want to light off. There is only so much you can do with the tune.

💯 what these guys both said!!
Big negative on the Mayo ! Mustard and peppers onions
Mustard only whatever he calls sausage dog just a hot dog just mustard on a I want a hot dog in a bun there was some onions in there😊😂
Thanks for the video y'all. And ain't no way I put mayo on a hot dog. Mustard only
Curious what converter charge pressure you are aiming for? I’m guessing you are trying not to kill thrust bearings in the motor?
80-100ish
Ketchup and mustard
Why is nobody running front clips on their cars
Free, easy weight reduction
Catsup and relish and onions
John you need to post some videos of you working on your crew and friends cars because they sure helped you with yours
Stick around, as racing season gets here you will see me working on all of them with them. We all pitch in as we go.
Looks good TJ. Needs a front end though
I agree. However, the hole in the hood will be the size of the Grand Canyon!
What if you pointed the exhaust/bullhorn straight down?
With your lack of front end travel, that would definitely help with weight transfer...
yes, that could help for sure
Mustard and onions
Ketchup and mustard or barbecue
Mustard only on hot dogs/sausage...
Mayonnaise on a sausage dog is disrespectful.. spicy ketchup and mustard 🤌
Might need to knock some of those rocks out of the rockers...you were running over your own rocks leaving so hard lol

So I am pretty new to the whole no prep thing, what are some competitive numbers? You don’t seem happy with the 6.4s

Stock cast big block can handle and make way more power than a cast aftermarket sbc .
