The most intense race I think in the entire storyline. The rain setting, the mix of the song to match, and of course Kenichi with the yelling and menacing growls as if his Yakuza appearance wasn’t intimidating enough. It’d be more fitting if he was the Tokyo champ, but I know R* had a pattern of racing hardened criminals before the city champs.
Kenichi. In my humble opinion, this car was nearly perfect. It had the looks, the stats, the driver was bad ass, the car was dope, the race was heavy, and the theme kicked hard. Just wished his top speed was around at least 220, but 203 isn't so bad. Quicker handling and acceleration then the Skyline. You had to tame this beast. I would even go as far as saying that car is the pallet swap of Savo's car in terms of performance. Both share extremely similar stats. They feel almost exacly alike in both top speed, acceleration, and even handling. With Savo's Saleen feeling a tad bit more refined and easier to manage. Weird how some of these car's in real life even with mod's, can't perform as in this game, and yet how Savo's car recieved a downplay in speed, it can only do 205, yet in real life can go 225mph. I've always found that to be weird. This was where the big boys played. When you reached this guy, congrats, you are now driving with the underground street racing god's of Midnight Club 2. Kenichi was the gatekeeper, the devils assistant, his right hand man. Mavodo was the big boss. The leader. The devil himself. But Savo, he was "The One Above All"... You take that title once you defeat him. And the SLF450X, is you're own personal, immune, otherwordly masterpiece as the reward. You are now, THE ONE ABOVE ALL. Until i come through and beat you...
Like i've mentioned in another thread, theirs an underground PC forum anyone can join to play this game online. It's a community still going strong. Idk if it's only PC, or PS2 compatible still. But man, someday i'm definately making it happen so we can all finally settle this dispute on who's really the champion out here lol. I would love that. But yeah, this car is one of my top favorites. Feels like roller skates in a sense. It's a wildcat. Very aggressive. I have complete control over it. This car is a problem in the right hands. My hands...

Good job Rockstar, making Ken'ichi the final guy to race in tokyo before the tokyo champion. He was really cool and his supra too with the ab flug theme and no I'm not forgetting his theme.

Anybody noticed in Ricky's second race all the cars other than yours and Ricky's were red? And in Kenichi's second race all the other cars are red again. Is that the yakuza that Gina was talking about?
He might possibly be a owner of a Nousagi, as evidenced by the audio files. Ichiro, Ricky & Kenichi were supposed to have a Nousagi, one of them, and Zen was going to drive a car.
He could possibly referring to the SLF450x, which is a car that is undisputed on who owns it. It could possibly be Ken'ichi, but in the game file, Ken'ichi and a few other racers were going to drive the Nousagi, I presume, Ricky, and Ken'ichi, and another racer were gonna drive the Nousagi, while Zen, would've been possibly driving this Saikou XS.
1:48 this game was so sexy for no reason. They made it like a reality show whenever they did the character cutscenes, I never realized they showed the cars specs and omg these cars were fast as hell 😂 0-60 sub 2 seconds !?! But the music editing is the best for me I love how they always make the cutscenes song hit at the best moments
Dude I thought I was the only one who did that. I got to the point where I could drive exactly like them. I always loved the way they hit the corners. That batshit fast but super controlled way. My favorite thing was to try and get my car to finish like the way they would. I was obsessed with how they'd all slide into the same spot stacking against each other. It looks so cool, but that was the one thing I could never get sadly

Someone mentioned Zen is a hitman with the Yakuza, but when you bust the racers, I think he says "these bosozoku racers", if Zen's a hitman, he rollex with that crew you busted
Makes sense because back in the 80s many Bosozoku racers became members of the Yakuza probably Zen was one and then he became a Hitmen for the Yakuza and they assigned him a 1000cc Superbike for getaways .

Both are dangerous alpha males, and rugged as hell. And having the title of last racer before facing off against the city champion. Both car's are viciously fast, wild, uncontrolable, great top speed and stupid acceleration. Obviously the AfPlug Supra is faster in this game being one of the final car's in the game you race against. But i'm talking fist fight over here. They fight in Paris, to even the odds. So neither having home field advantage. Btw, i wonder what other car kens speaking off...
I think Kenichi other car is the SLF400 cos I looked it up and this car appeared in the files it’s possible that the deleted car was kenichis however the car can only be used in the Midnight Club 2 Decade Edition Mod
No, doesn't had a proof that SLF-400 its the Kenichi's second car, looks to be a secret predecessor of SLF-450X, both cars had similar names. Nobody knows which is the second car of Kenichi.

i did this with the motorcycle DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD THAT IS - you need to do the first half flawless or else you'll never catch up - if you made if past that (took me about 10+) the you can crash if your not in first, if so then restart since you cant catch up and that's and you have to restart because motorcycles have no nos so if your behind then you cant get back up in time
the thing is that i dont like motorcycles because they turn to quick and take a while to get back on the bike with a minor crash and i hate haley's car as well it cant drift

We have The Bestia GTS = Albany Buccaneer, there are mods to make it look very similar to it, down to the raked suspension and blower. Saikou = Dinka Jester Classic, though it lacks a good tribal livery for a replica. Knight = Karin Sultan/Sultan RS/Sultan Classic, they can each make different convincing Evos. Jersey XS = Banshee/Banshee 900R, though it isn't exact, can be made to look somewhat like it. I'm sure there are more, but these are a few I can remember off the top of my head!

Kenichi's final race was the craziest one ever, it was tough as hell, but i really enjoyed dodging the hordes of incoming traffic.

There's another car that never made it in the game called the SLF400 based on the Zonda. That could have been his other car.
In my opinion I think it would've been a slower car than the saikou xs, maybe a r32? Or the normal supra.

The Bestia GTS = Albany Buccaneer, there are mods to make it look very similar to it, down to the raked suspension and blower.
Saikou = Dinka Jester Classic, though it lacks a good tribal livery for a replica.
Knight = Karin Sultan/Sultan RS/Sultan Classic, they can each make different convincing Evos.
Jersey XS = Banshee/Banshee 900R, though it isn't exact, can be made to look somewhat like it.
I'm sure there are more, but these are a few I can remember off the top of my head!
