Howdy and Welcome Back! This is Matt and I love turning trash into treasure. What we do here is take Nacho Stuff and turn it into cash. You see, many people have abandoned all kinds of random treasures and toss them into the trash. We take these lost valuables and figure out a way to make a buck from them. Sometimes it is simply reselling through Facebook marketplace or eBay and other times we might just scrap it. Either way, we are turning free stuff into cash and I think that is pretty cool and addictive. I prefer the curbside scene but occasionally find myself in a dumpster or two. Join me as I try to turn nothing into something.

I mostly consider myself a scrapper or repurposer of things that people have decided to discard. Some call it picking while others consider it a true treasure hunt. But at the end of the day, like most scrappers, I am trying to reduce our waste while lining my pockets a little in the process. Each piece of scrap metal, item of curbside treasure or piece of dumpster loot means one less piece going into our landfills and that makes me happy. If you pull your truck/trailer right up next to the dumpsters you could pretty much just walk right over the top into it and get all those goodies.
You technically arnt suppose to get in them. Not that havnt ut you are less likely to get in trouble if you do not get all the way in. At least that is the law here in Florida.

I just found one of those patio heaters myself. Silliest things to buy in my opinion, trying to heat the outdoors? I go inside when I feel too chilly.
Anyway the top burner screen is a nice 2 pounds of non magnetic stainless. Almost gold in my book with Nickle going so high.
I meant to check that but it seemed to have rust. I will next time. That's a nice difference in price. Thanks for the reminder.

I just checked my receipt for the last non magnetic stainless. $1.13/ POUND.
That's way up from .88 I was getting last year.
For me it's to the point now it's worth hoarding. I'll find space somewhere save it. I guess there is lots of Nickle in it making it very valuable.

I think those checkered flag emblems are corvette +++++as far as that bag with all the goodies sometimes its best to just take the whole bag and sort later lol not sure but if those were moving blankets they have value
They were moving blankets but not the high quality ones and very small. Others have said they think were corvette too.

🤪🤣almost forgot the scrap after that deep dive 🤣,I love deep diving, your so lucky in NZ we only public recycle once a year, it only runs for 3 days,other wise it's up to the individual to do recycle,rubbish man won't take away unless it's stuff from public recycling days, we do have recycling of glass,tins,fizzy cans,plastic milk bottles clean and without lids once a week,I guess it because we are a small country in comparison.
they are nit as common as i would like but certainly more than a couple times a year. I love a good picking pile. You just need to hop over to Aussie land and you will have monster piles all the time. Poly always has the best piles. Happy Hunting!

How is you nonferrous stuff weighed? I don't see a small scale.
Each of those bins is on a scale. He zeros the scale and then we throw the stuff in and he reads the scale and enters the number. I have shown it in a couple videos.

Just take the black bag and look thru it later. That's the stuff people don't like seeing u lookin thru their stuff. Way to much time their. Reason y you can't do this in certain areas.
I agree ti disagree. People also get sketched out with you taking bags of their garage. I do not feel like too much time was spent there and also would gladly leave if asked. This area is very spread out unlike most neighborhoods and has very little traffic. Much different then your traditional spots.
