But if your trying to get your name out there you are smart to start with covers. Those are the songs people know and will draw people to your voice. Once people get used to your name and voice, then you start mixing in your own work. If you just start singing your own work from the start, you won't get the time of day. There are too many aspiring artist that are good and your just in a big mixing pot. Use covers to gain a base, then drop in originals here and there.
Rob your last name is killing your career. I'm sure you don't care for fame, but no-one is gonna remember that name. Change it and have all the power to change the world. No offence, just sayin'. More people should hear you.
