I totally understand that yeah catch all the meat when they’re on sale. That’s the best time to do it. The reason we go where we go is because they always give us really good prices.

That is exactly what I did I found chicken breast , leg and thighs a few months on sale for .79¢ a pound I thought i got 15 pounds i checked the package just now i bought 20 pounds it's been frozen in our freezer until this morning.

Well, you learn something new everyday ! I've never seen anyone do chicken canning in my whole life . 😮 Well over 50 years. I've never seen anyone do any type of meat canning. Never heard of it before 🫥
It Cooks while it’s in the rolling Boil for three hours in the canner.., keep in mind that ground beef preferably needs to be cooked first and then water bath canned… only because if you do it without cooking it first it will cook during the water bath canning, but then when you take it out of the jar, it looks like dog food lol so it’s not very pleasing to the eye … That’s what I do with my ground beefI … Mine will definitely be cooked first … That’s just the way I do it. I’m sure if you research it other people will do it the other way. My great grandparents and grandparents did…
