This guy doesn‘t just make great content, he also cares about the community he‘s built. Blue is infantry , i wore yellow ( cavalry civil war re enactor) red was artillery, green medical but could also be sharpshooter, black if memory served was general staff ( been a while) the color in the shoulder boards i mean
Favors could have been Brevet , meaning he could wear the rank of General without the pay and limited responsibility ...by 1890s it was used as a kinda "fuk you" to folk like Favors
Monroe rank is actually actually a First Lieutenant as I’m assuming the ranks were based on union army ranking and the second lieutenant rank is just a blank shoulder patch.
2nd Lieutenants didnt have insignia (butter bar untill 1917) so the gold bar is accurate for first Lieutenant in 1899, and some officers wore old rank for a while till they could acquire thier new shoulder boards
Many ranks were honored titles so it could be assumed that Colonel favors was giving the title of brigadier general given his area or position or even time and experience.. general Custer was a major general and a brigadier general while an officer and then a captain the ranks would fluctuate greatly on many variables..sorry to rant your vids are amazing

Could you imagine, someone believing that a person could have their bottom half of their body missing, and living long enough to be taken to a camp hospital instead of dying within a minute?
Honestly I used to watch strange man, but not anymore. I've noticed his videos go over the same topics as RDB's videos. He basically steals content from smaller channels and gives no credit. I just stopped paying attention to him entirely.
