I think that it’s hard to follow b/c it’s so fast. That sounds stupid but consider it as it’s true in this video. The only times you can see the ball is when it either hits someone or it’s dropped. I enjoy it but every time I’ve been with newbies they always seem to say the same thing.
Because we have no good pro leagues and honestly lax is only played on the east coast and a few good teams in California but for the most part, it’s NY, NJ, Maryland and CT. Unless your at a prep school
Fully agree on Bernlohr at #1 . . . I use that clip too! Rick Blick back in the day at Hobart was good for a highlight clip 3x a year. - Lee-Florida Lacrosse News
These videos are great. Keep going! Would love to see a video on the future of lax, will it ever be as big as other pro leagues, how do we get there, what will PLL / NLL look like in 5, 10, 25 years?
So I’m my teams goalie, On Saturday I made a save with my shin that hurt so so so so bad (I have a huge bruise on my shin now)but that save, saved us overtime. And we won the tournament because of that one save.
@@PerseusJacksonn holy shit man 😭 when I was first staring out w goal I tried to make a save with my hand (which was stupid) and ended up breaking my thumb lmfao
Notice that almost all of these saves come after only one fake and then shot. When I played against Scott Bacigalupo in high school I had a wide open shot and all of the time in the world. I faked once and he saved my shot. My coach, also one of the best players in lacrosse history, John Tucker, told me you always need to do two fakes and then shoot. No goalie will save that.
Too bad you don’t include videos of St.Paul’s and Princeton goalie Scott Bacigalupo. Probably the most decorated goalie of all time. Quickest reflexes. He was there before you were. 3x 1st team all American, all century team.
Scotty Batch deserves GOAT status. great hands but even better than his reflexes were his fundamentals and positioning in the goal. His pipe play was the best i've ever seen.
I went to a private all girls catholic school here in the UK and lacrosse was rarely played when I was there (like, 30 years ago really, lol). I don’t even know if it’s played anymore, but it should be. And it should be more popular! It’s a fantastic sport and I’m not trying to be big headed, but I was one hell of a keeper, ngl 😉
I don't understand why lacrosse doesn't get media love it's such an amazing sport hopefully it grows as football did
It will its a physical sport
it’s cuz it’s expensive to play and that makes the amount of people who play lower
Been playing 40 years in england.its a struggle tk get any media.but pretty big america canada.

Born and raised in Baltimore, MD. I watched the Bernlohr save live and it split my skull in half. I came unglued. Such a heart breaking finish.
Honorable mention? That was the best save in the history of lacrosse! Easily!
which honorable mention?

Were said to be one of the fastest growing sports ever and yet we only have 8 professional teams… can’t wait at all for the lax Olympics this year!!

2014 Notre Dame vs Albany with Kelly getting the face mask save to send the game to overtime in the quarterfinals.
I don’t understand why tendies don’t wear leg padding like at least soccer shin pads

Is there a lot available? I have a hard time finding video from that long ago too.

2:03 ^ Link - such an incredible save... absolute maddness
you should see some of my saves
I’ve done number 1
Caught a shot from an eighth grader that was 6 inches taller than me in the cup and I had a semi circle bruise
What about the time when james Ireland saved, gave the ball back to the opposing team, and said try that shot again, and he saved it?
Hiiii
I was at #2
Who first
Where my fellow goalies at
