Harrisburg PA is where I went to school. My hub is in Gettysburg but I’ve been helping out in Carlisle PA because they are short drivers. Technically still a cover driver but I’ll have 5 days of work around 60 hours till at least after peak. This past week was my first week alone on the road
Thanks for another great video! I’m super nervous about school, sounds so intense. Are you currently driving then for UPS? Are you liking it? Was it a good decision?
UPS is weird. They make the package car drivers go through all this bullshit. When I went to feeder I did a full DOT pretrip and road test. That was it. Took like an hour.
Hey great video! I'm thinking they may get mad for just saying left clear, left clear instead of left driveway clear but maybe I'm wrong: and I'm wondering if you have to look 'left, right, left' as you are passing straight through a simple 2-way intersection or do you just say intersection ahead clear and then pass straight through.. And I was curious if you were going to go over the techniques on establishing proper 'Eye Lead Time' - and T. I. M. M. at traffic lights but that's alright I enjoyed the video thoroughly, well done :)
Your supposed to do that but when the driveways are 20 feet from each other kinda hard to say all that and where I was driving at the school had a lot of intersection so they just said call left or right clear or hazard. I'm sure I forgot a good bit it has been about 8 months since I went. You kinda sound like your a instructor.
