As they Pan the camera down the sidewalk and he talks about the foot traffic look at the homeless sleeping on the sidewalks😂😂 can someone tell me back when Donna Deegan was doing her debate she brought up removing septic tanks in providing city sewer for neighborhoods who are polluting the river Karma can someone please answer this I don't see anything getting done period and you come back and look at my Post in one year from now because I'm I will guarantee you the majority of the big contractors doing the stadium will be from outside the area, more than likely outside of the state altogether I watched this happened the last time that they remodeled the stadium and they said how much was going to go into local businesses, I drove around the stadium when it was being remodeled trucks with tags from Texas Alabama out-of-town contractors you never heard of😂😂😂😂😂 woke Jacksonville, not to mention we all got a letter in the mail not long ago property taxes going up😮
@@SundrenchedLinen well for one its not a new stadium. It's a major refurbishment with add one. A new stadium would be double the cost. The funding for the stadium will not affect the city's budget. Also won't raise anyone's taxes. Simply extending the half cent tax, that we've been using for awhile now, will pat for this. Also bed tax and revenue generated by the stadium. The deal is also a lot more city friendly compared to the agreement we signed in 93.
@@Jaxboy86 so they're renovating the stadium. That doesn't get rid of all the problems the city has. They would rather potentially close schools and get rid of 700 teacher positions instead of using city money to prevent that. Football isn't that important. Focus should be on building the city and community rather than building up a football team that the majority of people could care less about.
Why are we STILL using taxpayer funds for billionaire pet projects? There is plenty of empirical data that shows no city that has funded a stadium has seen a reasonable return on investment. It's insane that we keep handing taxpayer funds to billionaires when there are serious infrastructure and housing affordability issues. 🤦♂
Wait till rent and taxes explode some more. But hey who cares? Wait till they tell you they will need a couple more billion? What do I know I'm just a very old man that has been watching this clown show all his life! 🎉❤
Glad the city fathers finally quit screwing around and approved something. Mr.Khan must have the patience of Job.

There will be no foot traffic because you saw a bum in the video? Stupid son of a b so we should build nothing and keep it a 3rd world?
Its great for businesses serving food & beer, but thats it. On off days, very slow.
How come our mayor looks like Alf😂
This is great news. Anyone saying otherwise has no clue how economics work.
dem media for dem mayor
What colossally stupid use of resources. Economy is falling apart but spend away on a losing football team.
Thats your wrong opinion
@@Jaxboy86 The city has run out of budget for numerous things, but a new stadium..........sure why not.

Because without venues like the Jags we'd be Cowford.
@@janetprice85lol that’s a good analogy
You do realize the deal literally includes money to affordable housing…
@@Graphics_CardThey took that out of the bill.
