- In this video I am removing a huge cedar tree in high winds. The tree is up against a building and surrounded by patio pavers and concrete. This is a pretty technical removal and we didn't get it down without damage but overall it was a success.
Totally amazing work! Glad everyone was safe!
👍
That cedar was taller than I thought, made those pine trees below you look tiny. If the owners waited a year or two more that tree would be touching the shed and growing into it. Nice job cutting that in the wind. Hope you stay safe cutting more trees. Have a good day.
Carry 3 or 4 old tires with when you know your drop zone is tiny and there's brickwork involved. A little tip from a 30 year experienced treeman ,you'll thank me for this ! 🤣👍🙂
Good tip. I've seen guys do that before.
That's smart haha, good tip man!
@@warrestoops3695 many a sidewalk and patio were saved 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
Very accurate whit the limbs
Crazy wind
Nerf of steel
A nest with the branches can help protect the ground.
Great stuff,just subscribed
Good work man thaT was a tricky job. Id suggest gettin a mid size block for those larger peices. The omni block is amazing but i dont think it designed to shock load like that long term like the origonal style blocks. Bet you slept good that night.
I always enjoy getting home and having some good food and drink after a long tough day of work. It's one of the best parts of this job.
Long day!!
Yep. It happens every once in a while, but we don't stop until we get it done! 😅
They saved enough money by you not bringing a crane in, they should have let that let broken concrete slide…beast of a tree. Got tired just watching!
Besar sekali kayu nya , nempel ke rumah juga pohon nya 😮, sangat sulit lokasi nya
Enjoyed the video. The wind makes it a bit more challenging.....more excitement.....more fun. Big Cedar....big wood. I would have told the customer that their cement pads were in danger and could possibly get damaged. Something the customer should expect and accept. Good job considering your narrow drop zones and wind and big wood. Nice going.
I told them the opposite. 😅 I really thought I could save the concrete. I learned a lesson that day.
Put the half inch rope to the test
Ya. I mean, it's rated for 7k lbs right? It should take the weight of a 200-300lb dynamic log. 🤷♂️ In theory at least.
Awesome video!!. Listen when your rigging down chucks of wood you should always have your climb line and flip line under your notch but above your rigging sling, that way when your rigging slides down the spar doesn't interfere with your climbing system. Keep up the great content.
Holy crap that was up tight against that house!
So cool methods!
2:16 Obligatory "that's not going anywhere" well done. 😁
Great job,, wow, love it,,you guys are amazing...
How much would you charge for a job like this ?
Much respect from the uk
Great job on that tree it was amazing to see you all the way up there above all those other trees, made the pine trees look tiny
Nice job that tree was taller than I thought. Love your vids.
Great job mate.. So glad you are safe.
Wow
What a monster. Great work with only a couple broken pieces of concrete.
😬 ya. That still sucked. 🤷♂️ I'm still getting better.
@@VeteranTreeService climbers have to be 100% every time cause that 1% will wreck you. It’s all you remember of the job. Don’t sweat it. I think you do great work.
Damn good job. Looks like it was a very fun day.
How tall are you?
@@VeteranTreeService 6'7
@@ReallyTallTreeGuy oh, so not that tall. Got it. 😉
@@VeteranTreeService no not at all, hardly above average. 😅
Is your
2511 factory ?
Sounds like a muffler mod at least
It was windy here a few days ago and I was wondering how the pros take down a tree in the wind, and now I know. Very nice.
Thanks also for not using God's name as a cuss word (you said goshdarn). I appreciate that.
What bride do you have ??
🤔 she's American. 😃
Awesome job brother
Thanks Todd
Extreme wind is not fun to work in, especially at the top of a tree. Good job pushing through! Big tree....
Ya, that sucked.
good stuff buddy
Thanks Spencer.
10 minutes in, hopefully we get to see the dog!
Aww man. Sorry to disappoint.
@@VeteranTreeService perhaps future video, Cane Corso can drag large limbs?

Im planning to go for a certification as arborist this year, any suggestions for good and not to expensive stuff, I’m in kind of a tight spot with money, I work for about 25 dollars a day and don’t even have work every day, I can save up pretty decently because I still live with my mom as 18 y/o but budget friendly stuff would be nice (I have looked for second hand stuff but I can’t find anything where I live)
First things first, be able to cut and transport. Chainsaw and truck or trailer. Or no clean up jobs. Get yourself a 2511t.
I assumed you are trying to do your own thing. If you're going to work for someone else get a nice helmet and work wear.
@@VeteranTreeService well… I am going for my certification in Belgium and I’ve already figured out that equipment isn’t provided so to attend the course you have to have your own but indeed I am planning to work for a company until I have enough experience to maybe start working for myself or even start my own company with employees and all that expensive stuff lol
Also I would love to buy an 2511t but that’s kinda outa my budget for now, I have a McCullough mac130 but that is the first thing I am gonna (have to) upgrade 😅
Tim, good afternoon.
Which grapple do you have on the S925TX please?
I believe SLG46 swivel log grapple.
@VeteranTreeService thank you 😊
RLG46
Is it the one that hydraulically rotates?
Reason I'm asking is because the dealer is stating that for every one like the former, he sells twenty of the one that one can set stationary with the pin (conversely, one could remove the pin and let the grapple roam free)
@@h.i.m.dishonmaurice2599 we do it both ways. Pinned and un-pinned.
@VeteranTreeService thank you soooo much Tim. I appreciate you taking the time.
That zip line was wild!
It really was. I was impressed with it.
