It’s our lazy day! Don’t forget, we are livestreaming every Wednesday on this channel at 10am US central time (GMT-6), so pour yourself a coffee and come hang out and chat with us, maybe request a tune or two. See you Wednesday!
any chance you and your friends could do "The Unicorn"...written by Shel Silverstein and done by the Irish Rovers?...think all your friends seem to be the folks who could give that one a fitting rendition!....just saying....
Hey Reina! Huge fans here! We found you literally over a decade ago with your original song Wonder (posted 12 years ago!!). We loved all your originals, but were literally kids at the time and didn’t know how to subscribe or anything on TH-cam, so we lost your music with the sands of time I guess. Well my brother was just humming your song “sirens” today out of the blue. So we have been looking everywhere for your original “Sirens” song and rediscovering your original songs we fell in love with 10 years ago. Is there anyway you can reupload sirens!?!? We can find it anywhere??? Also downloadable versions of the originals??? All we can find is remakes and covers. Your music is great but we can’t shake the horrible feeling of never EVER being able to listen to the original, unadulterated raw talent of “sirens.” If there is anyway you can re-upload somewhere PLEASE PLEASE do!! We are willing to pay premium prices. With love from your biggest fans!! -Mike N Mark
It’s funny, you guys probably think, ”Yeah that was ok, considering”. When in fact, even when you’re sort of goofing around you nail the song perfectly. The harmonies are excellent the guitar work is smooth and nearly flawless, and your very clear desire to make it special for us shines through every damn time. You two are consummate professionals as well as engaging and fun entertainers. Thank you from the bottom of me heart ladies, for all of your work. As always you’ve made my Sunday morning special and fun. Love you both. Now Reina and Toni, you two stay safe and well ok? ❤️❤️
Toni, you make that look so easy. You play the most intricate stuff and it always looks so effortless, and without any tension. When I taught skiing, I used to tell beginners that the hardest thing to learn is to let it be easy. I know that is the truth, I just wish I could do it on guitar. You are a great example.
When I was first learning to ski (back in the 70"s) I thought it was kind of weird that the first thing I was taught was "how to fall". I went in thinking my main goal was to not fall. What I didn't understand at the time, but quickly learned, was that the reason most people quit skiing is because they can't get past their fear of falling. By learning how to fall first, that fear goes away and you can learn to relax. You quickly learn "relaxed skiing" is fun skiing. Seems like "relaxed guitar playing is also fun guitar playing. Who knew?
@@danielaloi8062 The one thing I know for sure with music is that players like Toni have very good memories, short and long term memories. I do not. I don't remember what I did yesterday. Seriously, I tried to play a clarinet. It was a disaster. Seriously, people with good memories do not understand those who do not. I know this from experience. I am 74 years old. I have a very high IQ, but my memory does not match. I always said, if I had a good memory, I would be dangerous, Seriously.
I was really surprised to find you two singing "It's My Lazy Day!" You seem really young to even know it! I've been singing that since I heard Gene Autry sing it back in the 1950's. I enjoyed your rendition very much!! I've been singing & playing guitar for about 60-years, & your expertise makes me realize I never worked hard enough at it!! Lol! I am a big fan of Reina del Cid, Josh, & Carson on You Tube. Restoring my faith in young talent!
Now's the time... As venues of all sizes close their doors world wide, the next wave of entertainment and entertainers will be those who do exactly what you're doing on Wednesdays and Sundays. When I first saw the post early today, there were a few hundred views. Now, there are over 20,000. Imagine, if you played a venue where 20,000 persons attended. Oh wait. You just did. I adore the two of you. You bring much joy to those of us who appreciate your efforts and executions, even the ones that don't turn out perfect. Rock on...
Sitting here weeping: I've NEVER heard anyone [except the much-loved late friend who taught it to me more than 55 years ago] sing this song. It became a "trademark" for our "group" of amateur guitarists/singers. THANK YOU for uploading!
Instant "cheer up" from RDC HQ....happiness central. Thank you for thinking about all of us! We're thinking about you too; stay safe. Your Cheerfulness is a tonic! BTW....great song.
It's so nice in an era where all the big stars have sold their souls, that there are two sweet, young talents that brighten the world with their exquisite charm. Thank you!
TY for doing that old Smiley and Gene Autry gem! Another one Smiley wrote you might like is: ' Riding Down The Canyon To Watch The Sun Go Down''. It has that same lazy feel to it.
To use a term coined by Capt. William Anderson of the U. S. Navy's Nautilus, the first atomic powered submarine, you two are FANDAMNTASTIC! Very creative way of presenting your Sunday morning song. I just watched your European Tour video with Carson and Josh..your foursome was terrific. Again, from someone watching from Reina's home town of Fargo, you are doing a wonderful job with your videos. Keep up the great work. Certainly, a weekly treat!
Watched many of your videos and love them all! However, this one stands out among the rest. Fantastic work! Bring some more of the old stuff! Love the bluegrass too!
That was ''SOOO funny - exactly at 2:09 I got up from from my armchair, spontaneously starting to whistle the tune - and immediately after that I realized you had started whistling the absolute same moment. :-) Music has its own emotional logic that clearly imposes effects on us - and the logic of yours is usually top notch
Thanks for the great video. Spent my lazy day in Prince Edward Island, Canada, in the backyard soaking up much needed sunshine vitamin D and watching more snow melt away. Come on Spring.

I could never play on the floor with my instrument on my chest like that...but then again...I play the piano
You would be playing it by ear!
Good One Daniel !!
it'd sound too heavy.
Daniel Huntley,
"I could never play ..."
Yeah, but maybe with just an electronic keyboard you could.
😂😂😂😂😂😂

Toni is a beast, I can barely play guitar sitting normally

Nothing better to wake up Monday morning in Australia and kick off the day with Sunday mornings with Reina del Cid :)
Laying down and whistling. Mad respect. I couldn’t have made it through that without cracking up. 😂
Great rendition of this old song, written by Smiley Burnet. My theme, since I retired.

I’m just “floored” LOL.. great song good job! Actually dreaming of going fishing but the beaches are closed.... you know......
This song is just perfect in every way.
Your wonderful shenanigans, like lying on the floor and stuff, are such a part of your overall magic and appeal. Love this song and performance.
These lyrics are exactly how I feel today. Especially the fishing and drinking parts..bravo ladies.
Careful drinking coffee like that.
Well, it's certainly a way to get your sinuses cleared out...
american coffee. Like making love in a kayak... :-)
laszlok53 I can’t figure out that analogy to save my life. Maybe because I’m not a coffee drinker. But as an American I feel personally attacked.

(found this video Sat. night, saved it to play for my baby when she got up Sunday. big smiles around here)
Such a beautiful couple! Love to see such a humane and relatable feeling radiating from people with beautiful spirits.
Good morning from ITALY 🇮🇹 Whistling with you 😁
