- In this video I unbox, run, and review the new CR18P 2024 edition! This is another collaborative effort from Hobby Plus and Furitek and continues to build upon the already very capable CR18P platform. This 1/18 scale RTR rock crawler has a brushless motor, new Lizard Lite ESC, a revised rear axle/driveshaft to reduce torque twist, and more! Expect to see the usual performance tests and lots of rock crawling!

Amazing how much these minis have evolved over the past couple years.Coming with a furitek system for $180 is awesome.Between this company and the Fms products with two speeds, lights and scale looks and the mod versions from fair rc.Traxxas and axial has fallen behind these companies.
Nice new rig from Hobby Plus and Furitek. I didn't hear you mention whether or not it has bearings or bushings?
The TRX4M is doodoo. Absolute garbage. Just sits there. Being lame.
Wow!! 121k subs. Man that was faster than any other RC channel I have seen breaking 100k. Congrats
Thank you!
I have two cr 18 p now. Last one was the EVO pro. Now there is another one 😅 before you buy, you have to know: It's pretty difficult to get decent tuning parts like brass steering or links especially when you live in Europe. Injora has no parts for example.
im so tempted to hit order already.. thank you for your videos bud.. now all i need to find out or see is side by side to a redcat18 or scx24 or trx4m.. to get a good idea on size
get the redcat ascent 18..i have the evo pro and the katana and the redcat ascent 18 and the ascent wins as its stronger, tighter and just a better design and out performs the cr18's.
Hello!
2024 vs Evo Pro?
I’m never going to a comp. I do want to be able to trail and crawl. Little worried about not having the two speed box.
Any advice much appreciated
same shit as last time lol waste
How does this compare to the FCX24 in capability? Seems like a step above?
Not sure what the body looks like....I wanna say....maybe an old school Bronco? Not too sure. 🤔🤨
My first thought was an old school bronco
Capee!really gorgeous editing. talk to you soon~ =)
So do i buy a rtr brushless for 150 bucks or get a brushless kit for 170 bucks? This is getting crazy lol
Really is. Great for us though. 👍🏼
How does this compare to the Evo pro?
NO BLUETOOTH! Wack!
I got the T Hunter version a couple of days ago and was very disappointed by the abrupt transition from slow to very high speed and the motor was running extremely hot. "Solved" by replacing the Lizard lite with a Python, super smooth transition like all my furitek motors and does not run hot after setting to the correct motor type (Venom). Like it, but the rtr package in my opinion is not well tuned in unless you want a jumpy toy car and a motor you can cook (very small) eggs on.
If i keep watching all these videos you are putting out I'll be on the street soon!!!. So far I want one of everything!!! Some of them i want two!! I'm going to have to put my bed on blocks so I can store them somewhere safe...lol❤!!
I have the first t-hunter, put bearings, some weight, those kind of tyres on the front and soa. Love it! Brushless is tempting, I just broke the front kardan axle today, hmmmm....😅
Gorgeous body.
I'm gonna have to get one of these for my brother to use when he visits for BBQ days.
Yes yes, definitely a good excuse i think.
Gonna put it up against my Ascent18.
Amazing video! you should do a video with all the 1/18 scales competing
Definitely going to be saving up for one of these amazing videos as always brother
I like those trucks. I like the articulation that it has out of the box. I definitely want to try this one.
Actually a very nice little rig . Great video mate 👍
I love this! Might need to pick up one of those with the t hunter body... Anyways, i fried my Esc/reciever combo today😅 so thats not fun. But its a excuse to upgrade! So are there any esc/reciever combos for the v2 electronics of the scx24 gladiator you could recommend? I dont have enough money for a full brushless conversion yet so im just gonna run it brushed for now, but i do need to get it running again.
The MB100 from Injora is awesome. Pair that with a dumbo RC radio, LGRP radio, or the Injora combo and you've got a very nice setup at ~$50
This would be amazing if it came with a magnetic body not these old pins with holes
Totally agree
Hi I’m coming here to ask you a question about my scx 24 I have the power wagon and there is a clicking sound near the motor and drive train I’m wondering if you can help me thank you love your content
Thank you!vIt's usually something rubbing on your driveshaft. Check for debris or a lose screw.
It looks like a mini origin.
that outdoor place where you run is amazing as you mention it keeps changing. wish my community would get into that but alas.
interesting yours didn't torque twist, others i've seen do, lifting up passenger.
It's an amazing spot! I tried so many different scenarios to test the torque twist and mine was solid. Curious what happened with others
1:40 Can anyone tell me what the connector type on these batteries is called, i already checked several sites that sell those batteries but no info in the datasheets, i want an adapter for my charger, never ran into these before. Or maybe i change them to jst rcy.
Assuming it’s the same as the CR18P Evo, it’s a molex.
Can’t 100% remember the part numbers but I think it 51005 and 51006.
That transmission seems awesome to reduce torque twist. Are there other models with this feature or is this the first?
I believe this is the first. Some folks have done DIY solutions where they use the secondary output shaft on the transmission and reverse the center differential in the rear. It's more work but it's functional. Hopefully they incorporate this into more models.
Look at that thing go! It's like a trx4m Bronco and Defender molded into one. Love the look and it looked so cool when it was three wheeling! Thought it was going to tip on a few of those. I kinda want one.
It will be a little monster with some upgraded wheels and tires!
@CapeCrawlers I can't wait to see what you do! About to go to the local hobby shop and see if they got em! Then I'll be patiently waiting for your next upgrade video. 😆
