There was a girl whose name resembled peace. Many years ago, she sent me this, and now enough time has passed for it to evoke nostalgic memories. We never met, but we shared our worlds through the art that nourished us, like two strangers surviving in the wild, stopping by the fire left by humankind, showing each other our bags and what we had gathered around us - what kept us alive, no matter where we came from or where we were going. Bound by the wilderness as if it were our own language, we were bathing in reflections of each other’s solitude. I found her sensibility and taste as mesmerizing as sand finds waves. I told her that I didn’t know this music and asked how the hell she had even found it, given the strange name. She replied, "I am... a miracle." But no, she was not a MIRAcle. Not even a bit. We kept flowing until the fire ran out and darkness showed what we were all about... I was just too stubborn to close my eyes to the things I kept noticing beneath, and she was too bold to refine her primitive insults, as if she actually wanted me to see: with every smile she gave and warmth she let me feel, something untrustworthy and cold gazed from within. She was just one of those shallow but sensual types who dwell on unusual things, who can fly through the wind over the trees, who can blind you with all the stars and show you all the high grounds, but can never become anything that shines, grows or moves the leaves. Yet, she moved me through this piece, now, after many years. Could it even be that it’s not all me? I doubt that, it probably is all me... It must be me... and the perfectly captured feelings by the composer behind the keys.
