This win surprised me! But, I'm not a connoisseur of country music so what do I know? I did glean that this man was a remarkable human being and that in itself is worth celebrating! So congratulations and love and light go with you both!!!

Do the contestants and the stars keep in contact after the everything is over
some of them do and still get some mentorship
I can't speak for all of them but Kelly makes it a point to keep in contact with every one of them. She brings them on tour and gets them on her show. Then is very involved in the making of their albums. She's promoting brynn right now because she's about to have new stuff. And she won with her I think 3 seasons back.
Blake definitely tries to keep in contact. I know that Blake said on kelly's show that he was so helpful the first season he lost money.

Bumpkin Blake didn’t turn because he thought Kelly blocked him
Stop acting deaf to join the bandwagon. I am not gonna pretend Jake had the best performance ever in the season but he's certainly crazy good. He wasn't even my favourite, but he was a solid winner. And we've had much worse in the past, let's be real.
And yet, Blake turned for Jermaine Paul and Craig Wayne Boyd 🙊 Both considered to be the weakest winners. (Juliet Simms and Matt McAndrew deserved better.)

I get it that the voice audience prefers country way too much but that doesn't justify bashing a genuinely awesome country singer.
