    Nice job. If you let the acrylic dry on the roller handle and once it get hard you can use a utility knife to start to pull a strip of the dried acrylic off. Once you have a strip you can pull, just peal off the acrylic. Can do the same with buckets. Come out nice and clean. No mess.

    John, awesome product I did the interior of my beach house.
    NOTE: On new fresh poured concrete you need to allow the concrete to cure 72 hours minimum, and for best results mist slab every 3 hours for one day.

      @JohnEngel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yuri Pantic hello and thank you so much for this. I totally forgot to mention the part about waiting until the slab is completely cured. I didn’t know about the misting but great advice.

    • @yuripantic457
      @yuripantic457 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@JohnEngel Yes, the mist is so you can save that second coat. concrete sponges lots of humidity is subject to weather if your garage was poured and not sealed and sat for more then a week this actually helped to close the pores of the concrete allowing to use less of the sealer.
      On my job sites, when we pour slabs, we hose them down ones a day after the slab has cured, nice work!

    Concrete takes quite a while to fully cure. I would recommend waiting quite a while before putting any kind of sealer on concrete as the moisture will be trapped, and ruin the finish.

    How does it look now two years later? I ask because I did my (smaller) garage with Rustoleum epoxy bought at Home Depot. It looked really good at first but now a year later, it's starting to get scratched up. I imagine in another year or two it's going to look bad. And the prep for epoxy has to be near perfect. I have told a lot of people in hindsight I would rather have done something like you did. You don't realize how much wear and tear goes on a garage floor when you jack up cars, it cracks the epoxy, when you drag a heavy boxes across it, it leaves scratches. You have to "baby" an epoxy floor. You did a lot less prep work (just washing the concrete) and it looks just as good afterwards as an epoxy floor IMO. Like a lot of your commenters, I would have liked to see a second coat for wear-and-tear purposes, but it looks really good from this video.

      Great question. Let me see if I can try to put it better into words. The sealant does create a barrier but if there is moisture under the concrete you will know because it will appear a different color. That, in my experience, has never come through the sealant. Now if water gets on top of it, then it become very slippery when wet. Hopefully that helps.
