Hanging out there led to a G-1 being the first aircraft I was given a walk through on. Didn't fly, but still the biggest thrill at that time. Still a Gulfstream Lover, 1-650!
Ford Motor Company had at least one Gulfstream 1. It (or they) used to fly into Liverpool UK EGGP. They had a dark blue cheatline and an orange vertical stabilizer.
Í hated working on those Dart engines, but surely love the sound. G550 and G650 drivers should take noticed of where those models evolved from. A real airplne. Beautiful video.

Got my initial ATP in this airplane type back in 1978. Great aircraft. Flew the G-2 and the G-3 also, before going to the airlines

14 years of flying these wonderful birds for Phoenix Air in Ga, USA. She will remain the love of my entire flying career!

From 1971 to 1975 I flew around in a G-1, serial # 145, tail # N149X. It was based at Hobby Airport in Houston. Great airplane.

Most people the startup sound would drive them crazy but 4 me, I LOVE the sound.

The Grumman Gulfstream I turboprop more like Saab 340 with HS748 roll royce dart engines. Great video.
Sounded a lot like the Fokker F50 as well.
Except this came 2 years before the HS748 and 30 years before the Saab 340.

The G1 was an American small version of the British HS748. It was an executive plane, so it was not so popular as the hs748.
In the 1980's, NASA had several of these at Cape Canaveral as well as Patrick AFB, FL. I wonder any of those are still in service somewhere.

The dirt sound is exactly like the YS-11, but the aircraft is just like the SAAB340B.
