I'm Bijayashree, and welcome to Episode 10 of Shastriya Sangeet Shala. Today, we'll learn Alankaar 3 in Aakar in different speeds with Metronome.

In this episode, I'll demonstrate how to sing Alankaar 3 (Aakar) in different speeds and practice it using our palms with vocals. A metronome along with it will keep the rhythm intact. This is a perfect starting point for anyone interested in understanding the basics of Indian classical music.

**Dr Bijayashree Samal is an Indian singer, composer, teacher and graded artist of All India Radio. Founding member of International Indian spiced Jazz/ world music group ‘Nandighosha’ and a member of Beyond Music founded by Beyond Foundation and the legendary Tina Turner.
Bijayashree is based in Switzerland since 2006 and teaching Indian classical music at Ateliers d’ethnomusicologie (ADEM), Geneva and Zurich besides playing in concerts and teaching world wide through online classes.
