I can fully understand the reasons a lot of audio wasn't recorded, but did you loop sections of the audio recorded from the rear cab? - there seems to be a little click and the recorded sound seems very repetitive? - Nice video though
Here it is on the later leg of that trip. You can just see the Go-pro mount on the centre window towards the bottom left (as you look at it). th-cam.com/video/Gcy0pDqpzR0/w-d-xo.html
At 19:18 the shrubbery and tree growth to the right shows the course of the Axholme Joint Railway which served the Marshlands area, with Stations at Eastoft, Luddington and terminating at Fockerby on one branch and Crowle, Belton, Epworth (Home of the Wesleys) and Haxey on the other branch. At Haxey it connected with the Doncaster to Lincoln Line (Great Northern and Great Eastern Joint Railway). The line only branched off when coming from Goole. After formal closure in 1965 it was used as a 'long siding'to take heavy parts over the Stainforth and Keadby canal at Crowle during the construction of Keadby Coal Fired Power station which opened in 1952. Lots of the track route remains and some of it is regularly used by walkers. 19:26 Marks the approximate location of the signal box and where the Marshland Junction would have been. There is still a Viaduct over the Folly and South Engine Drain south of Crowle. Lots to explore if you are in the area.
Goole... Aint been there on a train since about 1977-1980 as a kid where my uncle lived there.....i remember the level crossing. Think we took a trans pennine express dmu there once.....possibly a deltic on its way to kings X and a HST heading to Hull.....
Thanks for sharing but the journey felt really slow and can only guess you had the camera zoomed in somewhat, just takes the sensation of realtime speed.
Hi. I wasnt on the journey. The camera was set to standard view. But yes it is a slow journey. Maximum permitted speed 60mph which on a train does seem painfully slow!
Hi. In the description I explain why. "In cab sounds were recorded at both ends as Drivers were under instruction so a lot of talking was taking place in the lead cab. That is why there are some bits without AWS etc."

What is that vertical rod at the front of the loco?
Radio Aerial.
The water tower (?) at 23:48 is a handsome structure.
Beautiful videography. I haven’t been on this route. Thank you so much.
You're very welcome
The factory with the three chimneys at 25.32 was Rockware glass Now called Ardagh glass.
Top Stuff! Really Terrific, thank you
Glad you liked it!
Nice one! What’s the loop called the 37 went into?
Goole up and down goods loop.
RailMart Thanks!
Congrats on your GoPro. It records without the irritating barrel distortion. A great vid, I look forward to the other parts.
How do you get so many cab rides

Nice work, thank you 👍
No problem 👍
Jesys....that 37 is so smooth and quiet! Re-engined I guess.....very nice.
It depends which end you are. The fan end is noisier than the other. Also they are far worse when under heavy load.
Great video, but the AWS sounds (bells & beros etc) were not heard only a couple of times? But the engine sound was constant

great interest thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
That strange poping/ticking sound 🤨, something in the loco interfering with your camera?
its a class 37 they pop and tick! LOL
Whats in the big white tower thats been there at least 40 years???
Water tower at Thorne.
The footage IS awesome!
thanks
NO AWS sound some times
Hi. Thanks for your comment. See description regarding Drivers under instruction and the reasons.
Excellent video :) a nice leisurely trip in a 37, lovely
Glad you enjoyed it
Great footage....
Thank you kindly
Doncaster is north of Goole .. I think, will look at a map later
North East. Pause our map at the start.
@@RailMart Goole is north-east of Doncaster.
Excellent, thank you.
You are welcome!
