Thanks God we’ve got in our true environment when we may have decent talk about our beloved Chelsea club/team, discussing Chelsea current position in the table, scrutinizing others teams abilities in title contention or first 4 table positions giving those clubs right to represent EPL in UCL competitions and etc. I am afraid, if those all disasters could continue one or two more seasons, we would forget how it does look to discuss about Chelsea’s future in the way we are all learned to be all the time.

Here is a brief overview of the League of Ireland. It's a Semi-Professional league where players get paid but they may have full time or part-time jobs to supplement their earning from football. We call football soccer over here in Ireland (We are not Americans!). The reason for this is that our main sport is the GAA. This has two sports - Hurling and Gaelic Football (Which we refer to as 'Football'. Unfornately, the Irish Government puts most of its sporting funding towards the GAA due to its cultural importance to Ireland. Soccer and Rugby are below on the list of sports played. The league of Ireland is played throughout the summer to allow for more flexibility for players schedules etc. The 2024 season finished a couple of weeks ago with Shelbourne winning the league who are managed by Damien Duff (Former Chelsea legend!) Sorry for the very brief overview but this game is massive for all Shamrock Rover fans and the hype around Ireland is significant for this game. It is worth a lot of money for the club qualifying out of the group stage into the knockouts! You lads miss the point about not saying we are title challengers. It's not that we're not doing well. And it's not about being optimistic. Like the gaffer says, we fans can dream. But the team is so young, and this is their first season together under the gaffer, they don't need to be looking at match day 35 and where we'll be. They need to be looking at their play, their performance, their tactics, refining, improving. Those are very different mindsets to have. In a mature team, they can have both - keeping the end goal in view, but having the focus in the moment for the upcoming match. Theoretically, with how young our boys are, they'd likely struggle to maintain focus if they thought much about the title race.

Thanks God we’ve got in our true environment when we may have decent talk about our beloved Chelsea club/team, discussing Chelsea current position in the table, scrutinizing others teams abilities in title contention or first 4 table positions giving those clubs right to represent EPL in UCL competitions and etc. I am afraid, if those all disasters could continue one or two more seasons, we would forget how it does look to discuss about Chelsea’s future in the way we are all learned to be all the time.

Hey Joey, love the content I'm a Chelsea fan from Ireland. I cannot wait for the game! Very disappointed I couldn't make the game tomorrow couldn't book off work! Here is a brief overview of the League of Ireland. It's a Semi-Professional league where players get paid but they may have full time or part-time jobs to supplement their earning from football. We call football soccer over here in Ireland (We are not Americans!). The reason for this is that our main sport is the GAA. This has two sports - Hurling and Gaelic Football (Which we refer to as 'Football'. Unfornately, the Irish Government puts most of its sporting funding towards the GAA due to its cultural importance to Ireland. Soccer and Rugby are below on the list of sports played. The league of Ireland is played throughout the summer to allow for more flexibility for players schedules etc. The 2024 season finished a couple of weeks ago with Shelbourne winning the league who are managed by Damien Duff (Former Chelsea legend!) Sorry for the very brief overview but this game is massive for all Shamrock Rover fans and the hype around Ireland is significant for this game. It is worth a lot of money for the club qualifying out of the group stage into the knockouts! Hope the Irish have a great time over there and do have a pint of Guinness with them as we are very sound people! Hon Rovers and UTC 💚💙

It's not that we're not doing well. And it's not about being optimistic. Like the gaffer says, we fans can dream.
But the team is so young, and this is their first season together under the gaffer, they don't need to be looking at match day 35 and where we'll be. They need to be looking at their play, their performance, their tactics, refining, improving.
Those are very different mindsets to have. In a mature team, they can have both - keeping the end goal in view, but having the focus in the moment for the upcoming match. Theoretically, with how young our boys are, they'd likely struggle to maintain focus if they thought much about the title race.
