- Deyja means "to die" in Icelandic. This song is about a symbolic death to be reborn, sometimes darkness is necessary, it is well known that in a lot of cases a shaman reach that role because he went through very dark moments and then reborn as a healer , a shaman.
In the video it is represented by a modern man who is tired of a lifeless city and he feels the calling of a shaman...then the journey begins.

What I can add from myself, is that the civilization's progress is not a bad thing generally, as long as we still maintain places of the old way. We should have technology alongside nature, not instead of it.

i pretty much feel like you :) .. i dont want to life in this hectic and loud worlds society in these congrete jungles .. i think its well written from you^^ everywhere are people and big buildings... everything is so fast and noisy ..the bigger the town is and the more people there are, the emptier it feels.. its so far from nature.. i would love to life in a small cabin.. growing my own food of vegetables and such ... i love scandinavia .. i would love to go to the northern lands .. have my cozy little home in the nature in maybe a little village with a handful of people... i would be surrounded by peaceful and calming and beautiful nature.. this is the biggest dream i have.. i dont need to win the lottery ... all i need is a peaceful life in and with nature .. yeah my english isnt the very best so sorry for that :D but cheers to you :)

I may sound edgy and I'm sorry if I do. But I would give anything just to escape all of this and get away from it. I have hidden myself deep in the forests, north of Russia nearly bordering FInland in solitude and away from society. I turn off the television, I turn off the radio, I avoid social media. And still, you can not avoid the pernicious cries of these sheep and the foul actions of these politicians no matter what you do or where you go. You can't escape the new Iphone and even if you wanted to, you can't escape the computer. (Why else would I be typing this? )

Oh, I've often felt similarly. The only reason I stay in the south, is to keep close to family. Otherwise, I would have fucked off to Alaska. Even so, I only want to find a quiet place to live away from the none sense. The people that preach for rights that they'll never gain and expecting happiness to fall into their laps. Life doesn't provide happiness, life is a predator that stalks you and waits to visit you with pain and terror. Happiness is something a man forges for himself and others in spite of life. I takes effort and purpose; it's not something that can be granted or purchased.
