What if you dont want to use finestride or minoxdil after the hair transplant? Will that be fine or is it a requirement?

The rest of your non transplanted hair will continue to fall out / recess, it’s not required but you will feel dumb as hell if you don’t.
I’ve been in finastride everyday for two years & just got a transplant three months ago. Best aesthetic decision I’ve ever made.

@@RobertDeniroAntifascist side effects of finastride out weight losing some other parts of hair. At the end, usually the sides stay, the top gets transplant. Have you had any side effects in those 2 years?

Kind of wild to take a pill for the rest of your life for hair without knowing the long term effects. It hasn’t been on the market long enough to really know

I had a hair transplant 2 and a half months ago and I have chosen not to take Finasteride. I'm not going to say what right for others to do but that was the decision that I feel is right for me. The potential side effects of it outweigh any benefit I'd receive to my hair. I am 35 years old however and my hair loss has effectively stabilised, as in, the worst of the loss has already happened. No males in my family on either side have severe balding, it is localised to a certain portion of the crown and hairline. If I had much worse hair genetics, I may have more strongly considered Finasteride. Worst case scenario is in 10 years time if new balding is worse than was assumed to occur, I will simply have a supplementary surgery to fill in the areas of new loss, I have enough donor grafts left to achieve this, and this is assuming that we don't have hair cloning in 10 years time.
