I love the fact that TJ knows when it's time to burn someone for quitting (like Brandon in Rivals III) and to let it go because there's something bigger than the show going on (like Thomas leaving Rivals III because his gf has a major health issue).
Two things on that, especially since they did cover this on a behind the scenes episode (I think you can look it up on TH-cam) with the producers chiming in on that directly. 1. At least at the time, spitting on someone fell into a grey area, which production admitted there weren’t fully sure on how handled that properly. 2. While the majority of the cast was protesting this and production still confused on what to do, they shot the opening intro. What has been mentioned by cast mates, both at the reunion and in that episode, was that David did spit back on Puck, saving they were even now (though both Puck and David fully see since it got brought when discussing elimination)
Part of it led was that David was noted for being confrontational, even prior to the spitting incident, which the incident was a confrontation between David and Puck, likely people seeing David as Stephen 2.0 (from Battle of the Season, the prior challenge) Also, I think the cast also factored how two of them get kicked off their respective Real World season, with David getting setting home via production and Puck gets evicted via the other cast mates since there that over and too offended by him. On the production end, Puck would later marry, which was the wedding plus a confrontation between him and Ellen was highlighted into a non-elimination episode. I think it was part of the reason why Ellen was edited into looking overreactive.

I don't blame anyone for quitting Battle of the Seasons. That entire season was so toxic, I gave up watching it. Plus, it was in the midst of people creating fake beef and forcing hookups in the hopes of getting cast on Rivals or Exes with a good partner which was incredibly annoying.
14:05 With the Challenge spanning literal decades, you forget stuff that happened in prior seasons. Kayleigh being bullied off the challenge was pretty terrible and I forgot Jemmye played a role in it.. smh.

Ngl I hate Beth but love her and she is an amazing villain and I think jo is the best quitter and she calls the cops saying that their “manhandling” her, that’s hilarious. Fun fact though, apparently Timmy and David took a sneak peak of the final for the gauntlet 2 so they had to retcon the final last minute, that’s why the final was so lacklustre. Also watching the Island for the first time recently this David guy seemed like a beast and I thought he would make far but then he got drunk and quit out of nowhere

I don't think familial/partner medical emergencies should be included in this list. I think that's more of a morality thing, and TJ definitely shows that.

What about the time TJ basically asked Ashli on 'The Island' why she *didn't* quit? Instead, Ashli competed while injured and lost, and was roasted by TJ. I stopped taking him seriously at that point. Not sure how people don't realize how insufferable he is.

honestly eric is at fault for the battle of the seasons loss. he wasn’t listening to camila and while i get that he just can’t get it done he could’ve said that and apologized for costing them the win bc not only were they so close to winning but camila was still VERY eager to win it because she was so close to it,, even saying “i will climb up this thing myself i don’t CARE”. but because big easy was on this high horse (even tho he was costing fresh meat the wins every single time) he didn’t even apologize to a clearly upset camila and chalked it up to her bad attitude. it’s just plain rude tbh & i don’t think i ever internally forgave him since 😭

I am so sorry. I knew making the video Ammo is the first non-binary person to be on the Challenge and I misused the wrong pronouns while I filmed. Technically not a quit. Yes she hated going into the elimination against her friend and threw the elimination. But she didn't pack up her stuff and left in the middle of the day or night. I understand that he was asking to leave but it technically wasn't a quit as he went into the face off and then was voted out (to a pretty close vote because everyone hated Bananas). 1) I wouldn’t consider people who left because of family emergencies as “quitters.” That’s completely understandable.
2) Chet was an actual model, and his face was his money maker so I can’t really blame him there lol definitely a dumb choice to come on a physical show if you’re worried about that though.
I’ve always felt the challenge has underlying racism you can tell with the castings and the treatments. I really feel bad for David when he said “why is everyone treating me like the spit came out of my mouth” it really hit a nerve. It doesn’t feel good it’s not fair

I think its because most her old cast mates from earlier challenges weren't on that show. New people were taken over (Fresh Meat), and nobody had her back like before.
I hardly doubt Cora was scared. Sometimes the all-white cast alienates the black people like Cora on the show. Cora was treated terribly. Btw, all the people on this show talks crap.
